Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

The King of Raspberries, Royalty Raspberry Bush (Rubus 'Royalty') is a strong grower, suitable for backyards across most of the country! It is a healthy cross between a purple raspberry and a red raspberry and has the best qualities of both! It features the large fruit size and vigor of the purple hybrid and the high-quality fresh-eating flavor of these super dark-red to purple jewels.

Spring brings lovely white blossoms for the bees, and then Royalty's juicy berries ripen in mid-July with huge amounts of fruit on established vines. You'll have plenty to share with neighbors (and the neighborhood birds if you don't get to them first!). The vines are impressively disease resistant and super-hardy.

Are succulent raspberries picked fresh from the vine limited to people with country estates or acres of farmland? Absolutely not! You can fulfill your own dream of stepping into the backyard and picking juicy, ripe raspberries for yourself when you plant a few vines of Royalty Raspberry.

Planting and Application:

These are easy and low-care plants for novice gardeners. The fruit is perfect for eating fresh, making jams or pies and freezing for later. Order at least two for increased harvest and pollination. They're fast-sellers at your local farmer's market, too!

These mid-sized shrubs are the perfect backdrop or border plant that has just enough thorns to deter anything thinking about crossing into your property! Plant along the back of your yard or in rows for linear, space-saving berry orchards and property division that birds are thankful to eat and nest in. Small enough to be a specimen or focal point plantings, any vegetable or kitchen garden can include one!

  • Large Dark Red/Purple Juicy Berries
  • Mid-July Harvest
  • Smaller Sized Shrub
  • Upright Prolific Growth & Yields
  • Primocane Fall-Bearing Canes

#ProPlantTips for Care:

The canes are impressively disease resistant and super-hardy. Just give Raspberry bushes plenty of summer water, a winter blanket of mulch and winter wind protection and they should perform like the royalty they are. Provide full sun for the biggest, juiciest fruit.

  • Full Sun
  • Very Well-Drained Enriched Soil
  • Prune Early Spring
  • Mulch Well & Water Regularly
  • Good for Higher Elevations

Royalty has been grown successfully in cities as high as 7,000 feet. (We're looking at you Denver and Santa Fe!) Order yours soon from NatureHills.com and start enjoying the king of raspberries, the Royalty Raspberry Bush!
