The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Unearthly blue that glows, the Purrsian Blue Catmint (Nepeta x faassenii 'Purrsian Blue') is a radiant herbal perennial with fantastic smoky lavender/sky-blue blooms! Its low growing and spreading mounds of aromatic, deep green foliage become completely smothered in tall, sky-ward reaching spires full of tiny blue flowers! Pollinators go crazy for these fragrant blossoms!
Catmint is related to Catnip and has a pungent, aromatic herbal fragrance from top to bottom. But don't worry about all the neighborhood cats coming by, it doesn't have quite the effect on them as Catnip does. However, its calming, soothing fragrance is herbal and medicinal for people! Catmint is named so because of its Mint family relations, but this ornamental beauty is better brightening your perennial beds and borders instead of your pantry.
Purrsian Blue is very cold hardy! Handling USDA growing zones 3 through 8 without worry a bad winter will take it out! Fast growing and long blooming, with just a bit of deadheading, you and your butterflies will enjoy these colorful flower spikes from May through fall! Hummingbirds may even stop by to sip the nectar! Don't worry about deer, because they rarely eat the pungent square stems!
Planting and Application:
Purrsian Blue's spreading and upswept mounds of foliage, and spires of summer through fall blossoms only reach about 15-18 inches tall and can spread to 18-24 inches wide. But the tidy clumps look lovely tumbling over garden edges and lining your walkways and paths! Let spill over cottage border edges or clean up the division between lawn and garden bed! Use as low fringe around an urn or mailbox, brightening the front of a garden border or spilling over the tops of retaining walls!
Catmint is tough and fairly xeric and looks great along hot, dry paths and driveways and Rock Gardens. The smaller size is perfect for tucking vivid color into pollinator gardens, cut flower gardens or even planters around your porch and patio! Ideal as spillers and front planter placement, or as a unique specimen as a solo planting with an annual Spike Dracaena in the center! Clean lines, bright color and fragrance will be appreciated by you indoors in a vase, and outdoors in herb gardens, Knot gardens, children's sensory gardens and by the flocks of pollinators outdoors!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Catmint loves full sun and can even handle partial sun too! Plant in almost any well-drained soil type with moderate moisture at first, then low moisture after. Provide supplemental water during drought to keep your perennial mounds looking as fresh as possible! Deadhead or shear back the entire plant as the flowers fade for a rebloom until frost kills these herbaceous plants back to the roots. Then, clean the mounds up by pruning back close to the ground in late fall or early spring. These appreciate a layer of mulch over the roots in hotter and drier climates.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Very Well-Drained Average Soil
- Moderate Moisture
- Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune Late Autumn/Early Spring
- Deer Resistant
Purrsian Blue Catmint has it all! Fragrance, radiant color and ease of care like no other, plus long-lasting blooms and some major pollinator power! Order yours from NatureHills.com and start enjoying this gorgeous perennial today!
