Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

The whipped butter and buttercream blooms of Primevere Peony (Paeonia x 'Primevere') features fragrant white guard petals that surround a fluffy canary-yellow center that fades to cream as the flowers mature! Glowing like rays of soft sunshine, you’ll breathe new life into beds and borders, even containers throughout your landscape!

The mound of fantastic green foliage looks lovely from spring until frost, emerging among early blooming perennials and bulbs, then shading them as they sleep beneath the Peonies leaves throughout the summer's heat. These gorgeous blooms look as lovely in mixed plantings as they do in a vase, so plant a few extras to share with pollinators and bring bouquets of these lemony blossoms indoors to perfume your indoor rooms!

Primevere is very long-lived and cold-hardy! Plus these herbaceous perennial flowers are incredibly easy-care, making it easy for you to fill your space with fragrance and romantically ruffled beauty!

Planting and Application:

Peonies look gorgeous in groupings or rows so you can maximize their late spring and early summer blooms. Once the blooms fade, the greenery remains until frost to add texture and green backdrops to later emerging plants! Include in your cottage and perennial borders, cutting and pollinator gardens, or pot them up in planters that have winter protection and keep these fragrant lovelies anywhere sunny!

Primevere Peonies are fantastic in rows along paths, walkways and as border plants. The neat and tidy mounds require very little maintenance. Line foundation shrubs with eye-catching color or ring your mailbox, flagpole or a special statue or urn with sunny color!

  • Fragrant White & Yellow Blossoms
  • Lush Green Mounded Foliage
  • Easy-Care Perennial
  • Cut Flower, Pollinators & Container Plant
  • Low Hedges, Borders & En Masse

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Bareroot peonies thrive in the full sun, but tolerate part shade, however, you’ll notice fewer blossoms. Plant in soil that has excellent drainage and moderate moisture.

  • Full Sun & Part Shade
  • Very Well-Drained Soil
  • Disease Resistant
  • Deer-Resistant
  • Deadhead After Bloom & Prune to the Ground After Frost

Bareroot Peonies are shipped as nice 3-5 eye divisions. Their woody roots are not uniform, it is normal for each root to look slightly different. Plant with the eyes just below surface level with the woody roots spread out underneath. Once planted, water and mulch thoroughly.

The Primevere Peony adds a sunny, frilly bloom to your beds and borders! But only if you order yours today from NatureHills.com!
