Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

If you just love sweet, juicy blackberries, you'll want to include Prime Ark® 45 Blackberry Bush (Rubus 'APF-45') in your edible garden this year! Twice a year you'll enjoy glistening white blossoms and the pollinators that flock to these blooms. With their help, these self-pollinating flowers produce two crops of delectable glossy black berries!
You'll definitely get your blackberry fix with these delicious and healthy fruits! The first, heaviest crop comes in June on second-year Floricanes, then you'll usually see a second crop on new Primocanes later in the season, making this a wonderful and bountiful everbearing blackberry bush!
You might have a hard time gathering enough for a bowl, as you might find yourself eating them straight from the bush. These berries are known to ship well, so if you are able to control yourself, you'll be pleased with how long the berries last inside.
Planting and Application:
Regardless of how much space you have available, this is an excellent, erect-growing variety that produces berries that are succulent, firm and of good size! The flowering and fruiting displays twice a year, in conjunction with the gorgeous, toothy and textured green foliage, make these fantastic landscaping plants! Use them anywhere you would any other flowering shrub in the sun.
The thorns create a sturdy defensive barrier year-round, so use these and other fruiting shrubs as linear berry orchards that feed you, provide great privacy or block that messy neighbor, keep trespassers out, and give birds a place to nest and hide! Urban edible landscaping and food sustainability never worked so hard for you!
- Sweet Firm, Good Sized Blackberry
- Gorgeous White Blossoms
- Lovely Green Textured Foliage
- Early Ripening & Later Second Crop
- Boon for Pollinators & Birds!
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Prime-Ark® 45 needs full sun to do its best flowering and fruiting, favoring the drying power of the morning sun. Plant in enriched, well-drained highly organic and slightly acidic soil and a thick layer of mulch on top to insulate and protect roots. Keep the soil moderately moist for best results! In late winter or early spring, prune out all the canes that fruited last year, cutting them to the ground.
- Full Sun
- Prune Everbearing Canes Late Winter/Early Spring
- Slightly Acidic Organic Soil
- Moist, Well-Drained Mulched Site
- ~300 Chill Hours
Delicious flavor, improved disease resistance and sweet, big, firm blackberries. There's not much better than that! Order the versatile and hard-working Prime-Ark® 45 Blackberry Bush for yourself today from NatureHills.com!
