This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Fewer seeds, more flavor - the Potomac® Pawpaw Tree produces a large crop, so you will have plenty to eat fresh, bake into pies, make into jam, bake into cakes and freeze for use later!
If you want to enjoy a tropical fruit but live in a temperate zone, give the Potomac® Pawpaw (Asimina triloba 'Potomac') a try. Despite being eaten for thousands of years then forgotten, people are rediscovering it today and growing it in the yard or orchard.
You will enjoy plucking the large, greenish-yellow fruit. It's easy to slice and super creamy and smooth with melt in your mouth texture that bursts with sweet banana and mango flavor!
Planting and Application:
The blossoms of the Potomac® Pawpaw are unusual, deep maroon with near-black centers and large, arching petals. These photogenic flowers make your spring and please the many different pollinators that enjoy them!
Growing into a small, upright tree, Potomac® provides you and your family delicious and nutritious fruit, all on a lovely ornamental. It does need a pollination partner, though so check out our other Pawpaw varieties.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Your Potomac® Pawpaw is cold-hardy and loves both sun and shade. But you want a huge harvest, make sure that it gets plenty of sun. You will want to shade it during its first year, however, to help it adjust.
Potomac® isn't bothered by insects or diseases, so you won't have to worry about spraying! Find a spot with rich, well-drained soil, and give it plenty of composted plant material for best results.
- Very good drought tolerance, however, for the best-tasting fruit, provide regular water
- Large crop bearing at early, usually fruiting by 2 to 3 years of age

- Plant in fertile ground that is very well-drained, full sun and mulched well
- Paw Paw tree fruit are related to the Cherimoya, Atemoya, Guanabana, or Soursop
