Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Vivid pink butterfly magnets, the dark pink blooms with bright showy petals! The Proven Winners® Color Spires® Pink Profusion Perennial Salvia (Salvia nemorosa 'Pink Profusion') forms dense clumps of fragrant dark green foliage that looks handsome all growing season.

Upright growth is dramatically enhanced when the vertical flower spikes arrive in late spring through until summer! The bright pink flowers are produced on darker pink calyxes on a perfectly rounded dense and beautiful growing habit. Flowering throughout the summer and into the fall, Salvia flashes wave after wave of bright blooms most of the growing season!

Growing in almost any climate, Pink Profusion is cold-hardy and heat-tolerant in USDA growing zones 3-8! These herbaceous perennials are versatile and adaptable to a wide range of conditions. Growing just 14-16 inches tall, and 16-20 inches wide, these smaller Salvia are delightfully space-saving!

Planting and Application:

These fantastically vibrant flower spikes will add so much vertical texture, color, motion, and swarms of pollinators to your garden beds that you'll wonder why you hadn't planted a few sooner! Fragrant as well, the blooms look amazing smothered in butterflies, adding upright texture to your floral arrangements as well as dotting throughout your sun-garden beds.

Imagine a formal line of these straight growing bunches growing along your driveway, that hell strip along the roadside, or defining your garden beds! The color of Color Spires® Salvia when planted en masse or in rows is head-turning! Intersperse among your Cottage gardens and Perennial beds for exclamation points of bright color!

These smaller Perennial Salvia are compact enough to be a vertical thriller in your planters and containers in the sun, you'll enliven porches, patios, seating areas, and balconies with sensational color!

No Pollinator garden should be without a perennial Salvia! A valuable host plant for the Sage Sphinx Moth and a vital nectar resource for all beneficial pollinators, bees, and Hummingbirds!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Tolerating the sun and a wide range of conditions, these are tough, hardy, native perennials! Loving the full sun, Perennial Salvia thrives in the heat, also able to handle some afternoon shade, especially in hotter climates.

Thriving in all types of soil, Salvia does best in average garden soil that is well-drained and enriched with organic matter. Adding Nature Hills Root Booster during planting provides life-long support, and 3-4 inches of arborist mulch around your plants, especially when planted in harsh conditions to better retain soil moisture and insulate the roots from heat and cold.

Retain average, consistent soil moisture for best results, but these tough plants are drought-tolerant once established. New plants should receive regular watering to ensure they've been established.

So easy to grow and very low maintenance! Deadhead or cut back after flowering to promote reblooming, keeping the blooms returning longer! Cut the entire perennial back after it has died back in late winter or early spring. Divide every 3-5 years to maintain vigor.

  • Very Cold Hardy Full Sun Lover
  • Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate to Low Moisture Needs
  • Drought Tolerant Once Established
  • Deadhead For Return Blooms & Prune Early Spring
  • Deer & Rabbit Resistant, Adaptable & Versatile Perennial

For fantastic color, herbal fragrance, and handsome form all growing season, you be hard-pressed to find a better addition to your sun gardens this year with the fantastic Proven Winners® Color Spires® Pink Profusion Perennial Salvia! Order yours at NatureHills.com today!
