Clematis Care & Maintenance
Note that Pink Anemone Clematis will take time to emerge each spring. However, once they do, they grow quite fast! A little patience goes a long way when dealing with these flowering vines.
Help your new plant access both water and micronutrients its whole life with Nature Hills Root Booster. Our expert growers use this highly recommended formula to create life-long symbiotic support for tiny feeder roots.
- Sun & Shade Needs: Ensure the roots stay shaded while the vine receives full sun. Use groundcover or mulch to protect the base. Hot climates will find their plants do better with some afternoon shade or partial shade.
- Well-Drained Soil: Adaptable to various soil types but prefers well-draining conditions.
- Pruning Group 1: Blooms on last year’s wood—prune immediately after flowering to maintain shape and ensure future blooms.
- Spring Growth Delay: This variety may take time to emerge each spring but grows quickly once it starts.
- Support for Climbing: Guide tendrils to their support until they latch on and begin to climb independently.
- Disease and Deer Resistant: Pink Anemone is more resistant to Clematis Wilt than other varieties and is generally deer resistant.
