#ProPlantTips for Care:
Petite™ Knock Out® may seem delicate with its small stature but it's strong and sturdy. The Rose standard trunk is also strong and the Rose shrub is expertly grafted onto its top. But in reality, it's the perfect easy-to-care-for, low-maintenance plant that gives back tenfold in beauty! Small but mighty, it is disease-resistant!
Find a sunny spot where Petite™ Knock Out® in the full sun. Roses appreciate rich, well-drained soil and a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch for moisture retention and insulation around the root system.
While other flower bushes might need continual deadheading and general cleanup through the season, the Petite is just fine being left alone. It's self-cleaning and will drop its flowers as they get done blooming, talk about easy! Provide good air circulation and proper site selection for Rose-growing success.
If you feel like it, try using a balanced fertilizer formulated for roses. It's important to remember not to use fertilizers while these roses are still establishing. Let them go through a bloom cycle first. Once you've had your Rose Tree for a year or two, you can apply a good Rose fertilizer after the first wave of flowering.
Rose Tree Pruning
Early each spring, after the last frost of the year has passed, it's always a good idea to prune back the Rose tree several inches to maintain the nice round form atop its trunk. Keep new blooms returning with occasional deadheading, quickly improving your overall display.
Prune away suckers and branching that forms at the base or on the trunk each year too. Pruning Roses allows for better, bushier growth each year. Pruning Roses allows for better, bushier growth each year and stimulates new growth.
