Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

How to Use Olympic Fire Mountain Laurel in the Landscape
Lovely in a woodland garden, Olympic Fire brightens up partial shade. This boldly refined choice remakes over the old species with a concentrated appeal.
You'll get more "bang for your buck" with Olympic Fire over other varieties. Showier buds, more blooms and a lush structure are its hallmarks.
Use a single specimen planting in your yard. You'll never grow tired of it...and neither will local pollinators.
The most outstanding feature of Olympic Fire is its late spring and early summer bloom. The show begins with dark red buds that resemble the tiny flames of an Olympic torch.
As the buds open, Olympic Fire slowly reveals the pristine perfection of its delicate pale pink blooms. You'll know if a flower has been pollinated when one or more of the red-tipped stamens curls in toward the center.
Use several as a robust backdrop for a Butterfly Garden! You'll be thrilled how they bloom during a brief lull in the perennial lineup after most of the bulbs, Peony and Iris are fading.
You can also partner this with petite Azaleas and Rhododendrons. Create a mass planting that rivals an impressionist painting, picking and choosing your favorites from our vast online catalog.
Create a longer hedge to take advantage of their long, evergreen leaves. Run them on the north side of a wooden fence to jazz up the look.
Plant several in an informal grouping on the east of a tall deciduous shade tree. Partner a collection of Hydrangeas at their feet.
Olympic Fire Mountain Laurel has an upright, rounded habit and dense nature that will present a lush appearance in your landscape. Deer and squirrels don’t bother it and even bunnies will leave it alone.
In areas where deer pressure is intense, we always recommend you use deer repellant spray starting on Day One. Reapply it according to the directions as a cheap insurance policy.
#ProPlantTips for Care
This native shrub hails from most areas of the East Coast. They prefer part shade, or no more than four hours of sunlight a day.
Give them a planting side in well-drained soil. If you want to use them in an area that stays soggy...bring in additional soil for a planting mound three feet wide and 18 inches high.
With a moderate amount of water given on a regular schedule, you'll enjoy the best flowering display. They'll appreciate pine straw or pine bark mulch over their root zone, but please pull it back away from touching the stems.
Prune after the flowers are done to shape your shrubs by eliminating crossing branches. Periodically select a few of the thickest branches to remove for a rejuvenated plant.
You'll thank your lucky stars for the plant scientists that worked so hard to develop this spectacular shrub and bring it to market. It truly gives people more of what they love about Mountain Laurels in a neat, "right-sized" package.
