This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Growing Zones
Sparkling spring perennials with a frosted touch, the Mountain Frost™ Ruby Glitter Dianthus PP#33,461 (Dianthus x 'KonD1400K6') is an ice-frosted carpet of soft green, pointed foliage that creates weed-blocking dense groundcover. The blooms last and last and if you give them a trim once they're done, these Dianthus will reward you with a rebloom in the fall!
In the spring, get ready for a show as Ruby Glitter erupts in a profusion of maroon-red blossoms, each fringe-edged petal has an outer margin in light pink, light pink and creamy white splotches, and a celestial spattering of light pink speckles that give the effect that these flowers are covered in glitter!
Also known as Garden Pinks, the sweet and spicy clove-scented blossoms have a whirl of pollen anthers in the center and early-emerging pollinators love the nectar Carpet Dianthus can remain evergreen in warmer climates and mild winters, thriving throughout USDA planting zones 5 to 9.
Landscape Application:
Ruby Glitter Dianthus are wonderful carpets of silvery greenery that will adorn your pathway edges and fronts of the garden borders! Blocking weeds and filling large areas with beautiful foliage and texture, plus a nice spring flush of bi-color speckled and scented blooms!
Loving sun and growing just 6-8 inches tall, and 8-12 inches wide, gradually spreading into wide groundcover and drifts of beauty in some of the trickiest soil locations around your garden. Pollinators love the blooms and you'll be able to snip a few of the spicy-scented blossoms for your budvases too!
Mountain Frost™ Dianthus and their silvery foliage look great with other cool-toned flowers and act as shining groundcover on hillsides and slopes where erosion is an issue, spilling over the tops of retaining walls, creeping through Rock Gardens, and tumbling over the edges of planters and container gardens!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil. They love the heat, humidity, and sun! They need at least 6 hours of sunlight a day to flower their best. Get their roots well-established in your soil with regular watering during the first year, but once established, these perennials are even tolerant of periodic drought but apply water in extended dry spells. One thing Dianthus needs most is very well-drained soil! Ensure your soil doesn't let water pool for long periods, but if it does stay soggy, create a raised bed 18-24 inches to elevate your plant's roots.
Tidy them up by deadheading the spent blooms as soon as they are finished flowering. You'll encourage additional flushes later in the season! In early spring before new growth emerges, trim down the old foliage to an inch above ground level and gently rake out fallen leaves. Apply an organic, slow-release fertilizer formulated for flowering plants at that time.
