Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 5-9
MoonShadow™ Rosita Hardy Hibiscus (Hibiscus moscheutos 'G19164') is a gorgeous new variety of perennial Hibiscus with so many improvements, that it will make your head spin! Starting with the enormous vivid bi-color petals that are a swirling mix of Rosita-red centers that spiral out along the veins among the broad pale baby pink petals! The centers are a pale buttery yellow stamen that you'd expect from the Hibiscus flower family! Then add profuse flowering, reduced viable seeds, and insect damage resistance!
Rosita Hardy Hibiscus is backed by a four-foot-tall and wide mound of dark mocha brown to dark violet foliage that can also be deep dark green depending on sunlight, temperature, and nutrition availability. The color play is incredible! The blooms arrive in huge clusters all summer and into autumn, attracting droves of bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds!
Hardy Hibiscus are woody perennial plants that die back to the ground each fall and can be a bit slow to get growing in the spring, but MoonShadow™ series plants get growing sooner and bloom longer, so you get high-impact flowers and foliage in a hurry! Once established, they tolerate a wide range of soil types, moisture availability, and climates, thriving in USDA growing zones 5 through 9! Plus, this new and improved variety has shown significant resistance to Japanese Beetles!
Planting and Application:
MoonShadow™ Rosita is an incredibly vivid, intensely colored bloom that stands out in any landscape or garden bed! Plant in pollinator gardens, perennial borders, and mix-shrub borders for an eye-catching burst of color! Use in rows or groupings to really draw the attention of everyone as a backdrop to a cottage border or spice up a front step planting!
Hardy Hibiscus can tolerate Rock Garden conditions and look great as specimen plantings, garden anchors and as focal points in your perennial and Rose gardens! Create vivid low privacy and screening around backyard seating areas, poolside plantings, or meditation nooks so you feel like you've been enveloped in tropical juicy color!
- Dizzying Baby Pink & Deep Rose/Red Blooms
- Huge Flowers for Pollinators & Hummingbirds
- Mocha Brown to Deep Violet Foliage - Rounded Mid-Sized Clumps

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Hardy Hibiscus needs full sun locations for the best color. Plant in enriched and well-drained soils for the best results, however once established, they can be very drought tolerant. Prune all stems to the ground in late fall after the frost kills off the foliage and remove all debris from the area.

- Moderate Moisture & Almost Any Well-Drained Soil
- Shown Japanese Beetle Resistance
- Low-Maintenance & Easy Care
- Prune to Ground in Autumn
