To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Bare root plants are sold by height from the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may exceed minimum height requirements.

- Shrubs & Perennials: 1 foot, 18 inches, 2 feet

You may be wondering--what is horseradish? Don’t fret--it’s an underrated spread that is strong, peppery, and spicy!
Planting and Application:
You can plant horseradish in the fall or early spring! Here’s how to plant horseradish roots: You’ll want to set the root pieces 1-2 feet apart with the top of the root 2-4 inches below the soil surface. Fill with soil and water! It’s as easy as that.
- This horseradish will be enough for the whole family to enjoy! Share at summer cookouts or family gatherings.
- A horseradish plant can grow up to 2.5 feet tall and spread to about 3 feet wide.
- Horseradish does well in many different places--a container or garden. As long as it has sun, it’s happy.
- The Maliner Kren Horseradish grows best in zones 1-11. Need to find your hardiness zone? Use our map to locate yours!

Horseradish is relatively easy to care for! This is a great plant to put in a beginner garden.
- Plant your horseradish in a full sun location--this is where they thrive best! They’ll be happy in a sunny vegetable garden.
- You can plant other vegetables near your horseradish as it only offers benefits to others!
- Be sure to water your horseradish root moderately. Don’t let it get dry, but don’t overwater them! Overwatering can lead to soft roots with extremely strong flavor. 1-2 inches of water a week is ideal.
- You may question: Is horseradish good for you? The answer is yes! There are plenty of antioxidants and it has great health benefits like strengthening your immune system, preventing cancer, helping metabolism, and more.
