Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Fuzzy, celestial, easy-care groundcover, the Mrs. Moon Lungwort (Pulmonaria 'Mrs. Moon'), also known as Bethlehem Sage, is a great groundcover for any shady area, helping to lighten up parts of the garden! A grossly underutilized perennial, these are landscaping finery at its best!
The foliage is fuzzy and dark green, speckled with shimmering silver. The blooms appear in spring around May, and delight the eyes as they change from red buds to pink tubular flowers that often then turn violet-blue! Pollinators adore these blossoms, especially bumblebees as they forage for pollen and nectar! Even a curious Hummingbird will hum by for a sip!
Born in darling clusters atop slender, dainty stems, the pointed leaves are freckled all growing season, looking fabulous long after the flowers fade. Growing vigorously into politely spreading clumps by way of underground rhizome-like roots, Lungworts are wonderful space-saving accent, groundcover and living mulch when allowed to ramble.
Planting and Application:
Plant Mrs. Moon under and encircling shrubs as facer plants, and along paths to add some sparkle! Great in woodland and understory plantings, dappled and full shade gardens, and moist, shady Rock gardens! No matter the location it profusely shines amongst the crowd! Mrs. Moon, of course, is perfect for adding a special shimmer to a Moon Garden!
Planting your Mrs. Moon Lungwort near your patio or porch will make for a perfect relaxing spot for your family and friends to enjoy. No one will be able to take their eyes off your elegant landscaping. Try planting it in a container garden or patio planter as shiny filler and accents!
The speckled leaves and color-changing blooms will lend their tiny elegance to any spot you plant them! Pollinator gardens and Cottage borders welcome these luminous foliage plants all growing season long! Try adding silver edges along your pathways, or along the edges of a Rain garden.
An old-world medicinal and ornamental since the 16th century, Lungworts are wonderful when paired with other shade garden staples! Try planting Mrs. Moon with Prairie Sky Hosta, Chinese Wild Ginger, Younique Pink Astilbe, Northern Exposure™ Purple Coral Bells, and Emerald Mist Brunnera!
- Tiny Tubular-Bloom Clusters Change Red To Pink To Violet, Purple & Blue
- Silver-Speckled, Fuzzy Green Foliage
- Spring Flowers Attract Hummingbirds & Bees
- Politely Spreading Mounds
- Great Shade-Loving Groundcover, Edging, Facer Plants, Containers & Specimens!
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Mrs. Moon Lungwort is an easy-to-care-for herbaceous perennial but needs to be planted in a fully shaded area with well-drained soil for the best growth possible. When in bloom reaching 10-12 inches tall to 18-24 inches wide throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 9! Tolerating both extreme cold and heat, Lungwort can handle partial shade in the cooler of their favored hardiness zone range. Mr. Moon would be proud!
Add a 3-4 inch layer of mulch to your planting beds for best results, especially in drier conditions and in locations receiving more sun. Mrs. Moon is a vigorous grower and resistant to slugs, even deer and rabbits seldom bother these lovely plants! An easy-to-grow and low-maintenance flowering ornamental, Lungworts are great for a first-time gardener!
Deadhead after the flowers are finished blooming, removing the flowering stems completely to maintain a tidy mound and the plant transforms itself into an incredible foliage plant with silvery spotted leaves! Otherwise, Lungwort are low-maintenance gems! In the fall, after the foliage has died down after frost, prune the entire plant to the ground and remove all stems, leaves, and other debris to prevent mildews, slugs, and snails from overwintering. To prevent over-crowding, divide your clumps every 3-5 years in the autumn as well.
- Full Shade to Partial Sun/Shade
- Moist Rich Well-Drained Soil
- Appreciates Regular Water & Mulched Beds
- Deadhead After Bloom & Prune Late Fall
- Deer & Rabbits, Slugs & Snails Seldom Bother Them
