Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Maybe you have a hot south-facing slope or embankment that is hard to mow. Everyone has one of those spots in the garden that is hot and dry, and nothing seems to do very well. Lemon Meringue™ Potentillas are great for xeric-scaping and fire-wise landscapes alike! Mulch the area and mass in a group of Potentilla for an easy ground cover for you. Because it tolerates urban conditions, use this in commercial settings. This is an outstanding plant to use in mass plantings!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Hardy to arctic USDA growing zone 2, this is one tough shrub that can survive the harshest winter with a laugh and a smile. On top of that it is also drought-tolerant! They are low-maintenance and flowers best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. They can handle a variety of soils and resist disease and insects. Once established, Potentilla will tolerate very tough conditions and periods of drought. A touch of fertilizer and some arborist mulch around the plants will give your plants a great start to a colorful summer.

It is best pruned in late winter to control its size and shape. Pruning is simple and may only have to be done every other year or so until the plants have been in place for a few years or more. In late winter or early spring, simply remove the tallest and thickest stems out right to the ground leaving the thinner stems in place to flower profusely.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Highly Adaptable to any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate to Low Moisture Needs Once Established
  • Prune Late Winter To Shape
  • Remarkably Easy to Grow & Versatile

That's a lot of praise for such a little plant, but trust us, First Editions® Lemon Meringue™ Potentilla lives up to the accolades! We know you will be completely happy with this little flower machine. Order yours today at NatureHills.com!
