To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Buying Options for Plants
Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Fantastic flavor! The Late & Broad Epazote (Dysphania ambrosoioides 'Late&Broad') blooms later, and features broader, thicker leaves so you get more flavor per plant than any other! Long, toothy bright green leaves fill out along these tall-reaching stems and are pungent and full of flavor!
Featuring a more compact growing habit, and denser branching for higher yields, you’ll get more bang for your buck without sacrificing precious garden space! Commonly used in cooking and in traditional medicine, Epazote may produce yellow spires of blooms for pollinators and seeds if you don’t deadhead. Though it is recommended to pinch these back for more branching and culinary leaves.
Late & Broad flowers later and is slower to bolt in the heat. Thriving in hot growing zones where it may come back after a mild winter. Keep pinched back to encourage more branching and foliage! Best used fresh, but the foliage can be dried for later use.
Planting and Application:
Epazote is a Mexican culinary herb adding a deep and very aromatic flavor to different dishes. The strongly flavored leaves are used in teas and many Mexican dishes like Frijoles de Olla and Quesadillas among other culinary delights! It’s said the herb helps with gas, so it’s no surprise it’s used to flavor many bean dishes!
Late & Broad loves heat and tropical weather, so for most of the U.S., it is grown as more of an annual herb. Doing well in any sunny porch or patio planter, these thrive in herb gardens, kitchen and vegetable gardens, as well as among sun-drenched perennial beds.

Epazote grows in a wide variety of soils without any issues! Best in average fertility and moisture, they also do great in well-drained clay, sandy, both acidic and alkaline conditions. It loves full sun and some afternoon shade in hot growing zones. Provide just enough moisture to keep Epazote happy and never soggy.
