This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Buying Options for Plants
Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.
Ever wonder what a larger plant will mean for your landscape? Container Sizes are really all about the age of the plant!
Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.
- Popular sizes of select trees are 1 foot, 2 feet, 3 feet, etc.
- Popular sizes of select bare root plants is 1 foot, 18 inches, etc.

Scent your air with fresh Spruce and decorate the branches with small ornaments. This makes a fun accompaniment to "Elf on the Shelf" atop your mantlepiece.
Planting and Application:
Kids love these size AAA baby trees that are approximately 24 inches tall. And yes, this is a real Norway Spruce tree that can easily be planted outdoors after all the Holiday Cookies have been eaten.
- Keep it in a brightly lit area and move it to the Holiday table for an organic conversation starter. Norway Spruce trees have a beautiful branch structure and show off Irish linen or rough-hewn burlap tablecloths equally as well.
- Buy several for Children's Trees and take a fun trip to the craft store for wee little decorations in their favorite colors. Set the finished Norway Spruce Christmas trees up for use as the Children's Table decorations.
- Buying several and decorating them differently is also a nice compromise in divided households. Perhaps one tree could sport Green Bay Packers colors and another dressed out to cheer on the Miami Dolphins.
- Plant them out in your yard in a family New Year's ceremony. They can also be donated to retirement homes, office buildings, libraries and schools in your area.
- Of course, you could also prep hardy outdoor containers and place the baby trees in them. They'll grace your patio, balcony or deck for many years with adequate water.
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Evergreen trees were not designed to be indoor houseplants, so please follow the advice below if you want to keep your tree alive for planting later. They can also be lovingly composed after the Holidays, if the pressure proves to be too great.
- Bright light and cool air are optimal, as long as you avoid warm air returns. Place them near window, or on an unheated sun porch until your party.
- Water your baby Norway Spruce tree regularly. Many people use ice cubes to deliver a slow hydration and cool the roots down.
- After the party, water your tree and transition it to the outside with increasing periods of exposure over several days. The first winter, it's best to keep it in a protected spot away from the worst of the winter winds or use a frost blanket to create a shelter for it.
