Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Glossy Evergreen for the Shade!
The glamorous Green Sheen Japanese Spurge (Pachysandra 'Green Sheen') is a top-tier choice for gardeners seeking a fuss-free, glossy evergreen groundcover for shady spaces. With mirror-like dark green leaves that almost look artificial in their shine, this variety elevates the standard Japanese Spurge into something truly special. It's tidy, low-growing, and densely mat-forming.
This refined cultivar forms a lush carpet of foliage year-round, staying compact and neat without becoming aggressive. Green Sheen slowly spreads by underground rhizomes, hugging the ground at just 8-12 inches tall. In early spring, spikes of tiny, pale white flowers emerge above the foliage, delighting early pollinators and adding seasonal charm to its glossy foliage display!

Care and Maintenance
As a broadleaf evergreen groundcover (in mild winter climates), Green Sheen Pachysandra is dependable, durable, and tidy. It's low-maintenance and easily fits into shade gardens with minimal intervention.
Native to parts of East Asia, Japanese Spurge has long been a garden favorite. But the 'Green Sheen' variety is a step above, better at handling heat and humidity than others in its clan.
It flourishes in USDA growing zones 4-9, tolerating the shaded woodlands of the North and the sweltering, muggy pockets of the South (as long as it's given full shade). While a bit of sun is tolerated in cooler regions, this evergreen darling truly thrives in shady, moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
- Planting Time: Best planted in spring or fall
- Sun Needs: Full to part shade; tolerates some morning sun in cooler zones
- Soil Needs: Prefers well-drained, organically rich loam; tolerates average soil; avoid standing water or heavy clay

- Mulch: Apply a 3–4 inch layer of arborist mulch to conserve moisture and regulate soil temperature
- Fertilization Needs: Light feeding in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer if needed
- Pruning Info: Minimal pruning needed; trim back to shape if desired in early spring
- Special Needs/Perks/Growing Tips and Tricks For Success:
