To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Let this perfectly modern cultivar of the old-fashioned native Hummingbird Mint become the star of your landscape late in the growing season. The lovely Blue Fortune Hyssop (Agastache 'Blue Fortune') is an impressive herbaceous perennial that makes a big visual impact! These beautiful plants produce a long-lasting display of erect, lavender-blue flowers borne on lofty flower spikes. Our growers take special pride in growing these tall accent perennials.
The flowers bloom freely from summer through early fall. Hummingbirds, honey bees and butterflies can't resist these valuable plants. They gain easy access to late-season nectar from the plentiful tube-shaped, double-lobed blooms that spiral up the entire length of the sturdy, square stems.
This improved cultivar of Hummingbird Mint also features fragrant, lush, dark green foliage. Like many herbs, the dark green, toothed oval leaves are downy white underneath. As one of the easiest and most rewarding perennials to grow, this award-winning Blue Fortune is a tremendously long bloomer!
Crush the leaves to enjoy a wonderfully fresh scent redolent of peppermint, lemon and black licorice. Use them in dried potpourri, or scent homemade soap or candles. Add several leaves to infuse a truly refreshing glass of iced tea or water.
Anise Hyssop essential oil is said to have purifying benefits, and its chemical compounds display antibacterial and antifungal properties. Hyssop is mentioned in the Bible and has a long history in culinary, medicinal, and historical uses. Agastache originates from the Greek word 'aga', meaning 'very much', and 'stachys', meaning 'spikes', referring to the many flower spikes.

This variety of Hyssop is more tolerant of cold winters and wet soil. However, in the coldest growing zones, give it a sheltered spot. Plant this handsome low-maintenance clumping perennial in a sunny location.
Give Blue Fortune Hyssop full sun for best flowering, favoring the drying power of the morning sun keeps the licorice-scented foliage healthy and mildew-free! While moderately drought tolerant, you'll get the best performance with a regular schedule of supplemental water. Use a consistent watering schedule for plants growing in containers.
It also requires sharply drained soil. Good drainage ensures that the root system receives enough oxygen. If your soil retains water for a long time, consider planting it in containers. Or, plant them in raised beds. Although this plant does well in thin, poor soil, we do recommend you protect your investment and encourage healthy roots. If you'd like to restrict the height of this tall perennial, pinch back its blue-green foliage in spring before the flower buds are formed. Give your perennials a good drink before winter so the roots don’t dry out.
