Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Do you love hydrangeas but don't have the space? Silver Dollar Panicle Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Silver Dollar) is just what you're looking for. This small but mighty beauty blooms with full-sized flowers in a more compact form than you'd expect from a Panicle Hydrangea.

The big green leaves fill out in the spring and early summer. Then in mid-summer through fall Silver Dollar covers itself in dense trusses of lacy, creamy-white blooms held upright on strong stems. The whole effect is romantic and nostalgic! Butterflies and bees will add to the beauty all summer long.

Silver Dollar only grows 4' - 5' tall and wide making it great for smaller gardens and side yards. Hydrangea makes great cut flowers and dries easily, giving you gorgeous fresh cuts in summer and rich floral displays in fall and winter, both indoors and out!

Planting and Application:

Plant Silver Dollar with Azaleas and Rhododendrons for flower power all season in dappled shade. It makes a pretty accent plant but really shines in groups of three or more. The rich green leaves are fantastic backdrops to the garden bed and border and the tidy rounded form makes ideal anchors!

Just tall enough to be great privacy and screening, seclude your backyard seating areas in big flouncy blooms and lush green foliage! Densely branched enough to provide great cover and nesting for birds, create wildlife shelterbelts and groupings at the edges of your property. Lovely additions to cottage gardens, you'll boost curb appeal with a pair of fluffy white sentries welcoming you home on either side of the driveway!

  • Full-Sized Creamy-White Panicle Blooms
  • Incredible Late Summer Blooms
  • Great For Smaller Yards
  • Four-Season Interest & Dried Décor
  • Edging, Borders, Hedges & Large Planters

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Silver Dollar handles light shade as well as sun and fills in quickly each spring! Provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day for the largest and most blooms and strongest stems. Plant Hydrangeas in a mulched, well-drained and organically fertile soil, be sure to provide ample moisture throughout the hot summer months.
