Let these "shimmering lights" like a candle and show your garden the way! Exceptionally clear yellow, high-pointed yellow Roses that don't fade! Gorgeous Hotel California Hybrid Tea Rose (Rosa 'ORAsoglo') produces beautifully full, deep yellow blooms with up to 35 petals each!
One of the best yellow Roses for cutting, you'll "never want to leave" the flushes of high-pointed buds and fully double blooms on their long stems without taking a few for your indoor tablescapes. Start "living it up" by snipping them regularly, along with the deep green foliage as a perfect filler. Not only will you encourage repeat blooms, but you will also enjoy these brilliant blossoms indoors, and also encourage more blooms for your pollinators to enjoy as well!
Hotel California Rose is a healthy, upright, bushy shrub with spiraled, formal blooms and a mild Tea fragrance. Hybridized by Pierre Orard, it is well known for its showy, color-fast blooms, elegant buds, and long stems. Hardy throughout hot and humid USDA growing zones 6 through 10, these will be little these tough Hybrid Teas can't tolerate!
Planting and Application:
Grow these shining yellow blooms in your garden and create "such a lovely place" with these exceptionally clear yellow, high-pointed yellow roses that don't fade! Who can be sad or depressed with a planting bed filled with amber-yellow Roses in such a sophisticated shape? Even small space gardens can use a series of these beauties as a garden accent!
Grow these bushes in large outdoor containers to decorate your porch or patio. Wherever you use them, Hotel California Roses grow into a miraculous focal point to study and admire each day. The narrow 2-3 foot width is almost columnar in effect, creating visual towers of brilliant yellow. The tall 4-6 feet of mature height makes these shrubs a thorny fence or privacy hedge that the neighbors won't mind being screened by.
These dramatic, sunny blooms against the dark green leaves draw all eyes toward them. Make the most of their natural visual interest by planting several Hotel California Roses near the entrance to your driveway or around your foundation plantings and front porch! Surround a bird bath, fountain, or garden sculpture to boost the impact of your landscape investment.
Work the blooms into your flower arrangements! They hold their own in partnership with rustic, native prairie blooms, and might just wind up stealing the show! You might be surprised how effective Hotel California blooms are planted against mature evergreens. If you are looking for an easy way to refresh the look of established planting beds - this is it!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
For the best results, plant your Rose in full sun where they will receive at least six hours of sunlight a day, favoring morning sun to dry the leaves of dew. Roses also need well-drained soil and good air circulation to stay happy and healthy for years. Easy to grow, simply plant in organically enriched soil. Dig your planting hole twice as wide as the roots, but no deeper. Keep the soil level the same as we have them grown in at the nursery. Don't forget to add a 3-4 inch thick layer of arborist mulch.
Hybrid Tea Roses deserve the life-long support of symbiotic Nature Hills Root Booster at time of planting. If the weather is dry, plan to give them a regular schedule of supplemental water. Feed your blooms a high-quality fertilizer according to the label directions.
In zones 7 and below, Hybrid Tea Roses should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall after the frost killed the leaves for best overwintering. Always wait to prune Roses until early spring when you pull the mulch away. At that time, prune each of the Rose canes down to 6 - 8 inches at a 45-degree angle just above a nice, fat bud. Read more about Rose pruning Here, and about winterizing Roses, and un-wintering Roses in spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
