To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:

Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements

Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

A single-flowered, big white Peony with a big, textured yellow, carnation-like center, the Honey Gold Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Honey Gold'), well…kind of resembles a fried egg! Luckily, it doesn’t smell at all like one!

Emerging in the spring, the coarse-textured green foliage soon erupts with big fragrant blossoms with white ruffled petals and honeyed fringed centers! Pollinators adore these landing pads as much as you will! Forming tidy mounds of green, these highly floriferous herbaceous perennials are covered in heavy blooms for you to fill your vases and bouquets with!

Honey Gold blooms throughout the late spring and early summer, then this mound of tidy foliage remains lush green until frost as a fantastic backdrop for your later-emerging perennials and shrubs. Spring bulbs planted around its base gladly hide beneath the welcome shade of the foliage.

Planting and Application:

Peony readily perfume your world indoors and out, so be sure to plant some extras in your cutting garden! Perennial and mixed-shrub beds and borders welcome these blooms to call in more pollinators into your yard! Mix with early and later blooming plants for an extended season of color. Peony also just seems to go hand in hand with Roses, Weigela and Columbines.

Honey Gold forms a neat and tidy mound of lovely foliage that is ideal for lining walkways or edging beds and foundation plantings. Hiding bare leggy stems of older shrubs with radiant blossoms.
