Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

This herb will have you exclaiming "Hi Ho Silver!" as its fragrant herbaceous scent fills your kitchen and home. This perennial plant isn't just attractive, it's tasty too! Hi Ho Silver Thyme (Thymus argenteus 'Hi Ho Silver') offers great color and flavor.

This herb has been used for thousands of years. The ancient Greeks carried it into battles and used it for aromatherapy. In the Middle Ages, people thought it could ward off the Plague, and during the late 19th century, Victorians believed wild-growing thyme indicated that fairies had danced on the patch of grass where it grew.

You can share these stories with your friends as you use your Hi Ho Silver Thyme for baked chicken or potatoes. Your friends will think you're a culinary genius. This variety offers amazing flavor and can be used in any recipe that calls for thyme. This variety tastes exceptionally scrumptious when paired with parsley or lemon on meats, veggies, and potatoes.

Hi Ho Silver Thyme produces charming ovular leaves with variegated white margins. This foliage is light silvery-green and grows evenly on opposing sides of its stem. And when summer hits its stride, this plant blooms with petite pink flowers.

Butterflies find this plant as appetizing as we do and will often visit for a taste.

Where you plant your Hi Ho Silver Thyme is up to you, but we do have some suggestions to make the decision a bit easier. Hi Ho Silver Thyme looks amazing in an herb garden, especially when planted nearby darker green herbs like basil, oregano, or dill. It grows remarkably well in containers and thrives in window boxes. So, plant one in a container and let it live right outside your door where you can pick a bit as you need.

To keep your Hi Ho Silver Thyme thriving year after year, plant it in well-drained soil that isn't too damp. It does best in full sun. Plucking a few leaves after it flowers encourages new growth and will give you an excuse to cook. This evergreen herb will naturally spread if its branches touch the soil, so it will slowly fill its pot if allowed.

Don't skip this attractive and well-colored herb. Spice up your life with a bit of Hi Ho Silver Thyme! You will love its pleasant aroma and vibrant flavor! Order yours today!
