Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Growing Zones 8-10 (annual in zones 3-7)
The Happy Emily® Canna Lily (Canna 'Happy Emily') is a gorgeous tropical flowering ornamental with vivid yellow petals speckled in bright orange! Half the size but all of the colorful appeal as tier larger cousins, the broad bright green leaves and strong stems hold the full spikes of flouncy petals aloft for every bee, butterfly and Hummingbird in your area to find your garden!
Growing only 18-22 inches tall when in full bloom, and spreading to just a foot wide, this mini Calla Lily is perfect for any sized yard, garden, or even container garden! No yard is needed for voluminous blooms and exotic color! This compact little number makes up for size with sheer saturated radiant color!
Happy Emily® Canna Lily is a perennial rhizome throughout USDA growing zones 8 and up, but in areas with cold winters, dig up the rhizomes in the fall before a hard freeze, or use these as annual accents during the growing season. These are fast-growing enough to fill your landscape with exotic beauty and color without the wait!
Planting and Application:
Maximize the bright color and exotic flair of your Canna by planting them in groupings or in rows! Go big by planting Canna en masse in drifts for a bright pop of juicy color all growing season long! Pot up in porch and patio planters as the main feature, surrounded by spillers or low fillers for a focal point. Or you can add them as the filler and accent to other exotic foliage and flowering plants on a sunny porch, patio or balcony!
Happy Emily® looks fantastic adding color to the front garden beds and foundation border, or even at the end of your driveway - we're sure no one will miss the turn into your house again! These space-saving accents even look great for pathway and garden edging, on berms and around your poolside plantings, and seating areas!
- Orange Speckled Bold Yellow Flower Spikes
- Bright Green Broad-Leaved Foliage

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Canna Lilies are full-sun and part-shade, rhizomatic plants, and do best in well-drained, enriched, moderately moist to almost wet soil. It is also a good idea to ensure that Canna has a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch over the surface. Provide regular fertilizer and deadhead when blooming is done. Canna rhizomes are not frost-hardy and do need to be dug in the fall before they freeze. Keep them in a cool, frost-free area in a bag in a garage or shed.
- Full Sun to Part Shade
- Moist to Wet Soil
- Well-Drained Mulched & Fertile Sites
- Dig Up & Store In Cool Climates
- Deer Resistant
- Prune After Foliage Yellows
Happy Emily® Canna Lily is a bright and colorful yet space-saving choice for seasonal blooms and exotic color all growing season long! Your quality summer-blooming bulbs and rhizomes are shipped in a dormant state, ready to plant after frost in your growing zone.
