This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.
Standard Shipping Rates
At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes

Growing Zones 7-11
We have a hot new garden color to introduce to you this year. It's going to be all the rage! It combines well with all other colors and works equally as a great neutral or as a stand-out showpiece. That new color? Brown!
Introducing the Graceful Grasses® line of Sedge from Proven Winners® in a fantastic and modern color! The Toffee Twist Sedge Grass (Carex flagellifora 'Toffee Twist') is a graceful, Grass-like plant that has long slender fine-textured arching blades that create fountains in the sunny garden! Smaller and more space-saving, these unique foliage plants will be turning heads!
The slender, iridescent leaves offer an elegant sweeping, trailing habit that stuns all growing season and then becomes a gorgeous mahogany for the fall before fading to a botanical tan for the winter. Growing in USDA planting zones 7 to 11, handling heat and humidity with ease while growing just 18 to 24 inches tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide when mature.
Landscape Application:
Don't worry. We haven't gone crazy! This isn't an "Oh-my-plant-is-dead" brown either! This is an iridescent "I'll-have-a-little-cream-with-that-coffee" brown. The kind that interior decorators put with Tiffany jewelry box blue, English hunter green, or Chinese lacquer red!
In other words - it's beautiful!
The perfect thriller adds height and drama to any container and mixed planter, window boxes, and upscale planters! You'll love the clever conversation pieces around your sunny porches and patios, on your front stoop, and in balcony container gardens!
Mix this unique foliage plant with yellow, copper, gold, burgundy, and pink flowers! The color shows off against black and dark maroon foliage plants! You won't believe the compliments you'll get if you pair it with blue flowers and chartreuse-leaved shrubs in a garden bed for a very of-the-moment look.
And it comes on a beautiful and tough-as-nails plant! Toffee Twist Sedge is a graceful, grass-like plant that gives structure to mixed plantings and wildness to formal borders. Its size makes it great in front of the border or massed in a bed.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
The best bronzy-shimmering-brown color is achieved in full sun, but it can take a little shade too, especially in hotter growing zones. A cool-season grass that prefers well-drained moist soil, Sedge does well in moderate to moist soil locations. Prune back your plants in the early spring before new growth begins and divide clumps every few years to keep them growing in a tidy manner.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Well-Drained Soil
- Moist to Higher Moisture Locations
- Prune Down Or Clean Mounds In Early Spring
- Rabbit & Deer Resistant
We're sure that the Proven Winners® Graceful Grasses® Toffee Twist Sedge Grass will perk up your landscape. Take a risk! We know that you won't be disappointed, but don't take our word for it! Order yours today at NatureHills.com!
