Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 6-10
18-inches of silky, feathery plumes, Pumila Dwarf Pampas Grass (Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila') is probably one of the most impressive perennials you can grow! Pumila is a Dwarf Pampas Grass with huge, feathery greenish-white plumes. Turning a showy, silvery cream in the late summer to fall, they look and feel silky to the touch! Perfect for use in fresh and dried floral arrangements!
Pumila Cortaderia is a very good grower and much more cold-hardy than other species. 'Pumila' thrives in hot, full sun exposures and quickly grows to its 4-5 foot height while spreading 3-4 feet wide! The graceful fountains of fine-textured green blades grow up and out before arching down elegantly, each clump crowned in multiple fluffy plumes that wave high above.
Pumila is sterile and won't re-seed itself, so you can enjoy this smaller Pampas Grass without worrying it will jump borders! Thriving throughout USDA growing zones 6 to 10, and gardeners in zones 6 to 8 should protect the crowns of young plants in winter.
Planting and Application:
Dwarf Pampas grasses are especially useful as specimen plantings, in high-impact groupings, or in evenly spaced rows along walls! They create dramatic impact as garden anchors and softening structure corners! Rock Gardens and front yard berms benefit from a dramatic presence and the plumes are useful in cut flower gardens as fresh and dried flowers!
Use Ornamental Grass as a border along the backs of garden beds and borders for a flowing and graceful backdrop. Ideal for waving drifts in mass plantings that create white noise and fluffy texture that catches the eye from afar! Of course, a single plant is highly effective as a front garden focal point, or create a conversation piece with a row planted around your backyard seating areas!
