The fantastic Ornamental Grass Graziella Maiden (Miscanthus sinensis 'Graziella') is an earlier blooming, more compact Maiden Grass with slender green foliage on clumps with large, white blooms in late summer. The fine texture of the leaves set it apart from other garden grasses.
Blooming earlier than most Miscanthus, dramatic arching plumes in pinkish burgundy appear in tassel-like inflorescence, high above the foliage. Quickly becoming a creamy white in late summer, gradually turning into silvery-white as the seeds mature. They look great any time of the year as floral design. You'll love the burnished golden orange-red the stems and blades become in the fall and the dramatic winter interest and motion they provide you all year long!
This warm-season variety of Ornamental Grass is hardy throughout USDA hardiness zones 5 to 9 and is so easy, even a beginner can grow it! Keeping its tallgrass native prairie genetics, Graziella is highly adaptable and versatile!
Planting and Application:
Plant Graziella Grass where its wonderful winter interest can be enjoyed. It adds graceful movement to your gardens with the slightest breeze. Adding Ornamental Grass gives motion and form to the landscape while creating serenity and tranquility. Grasses create white noise from the blades rustling, and hide unwanted views or nosy neighbors with these 5-6 foot tall, elegant fountains!
Use this plant as a vertical accent plant, in mass plantings, and in short hedges. Anywhere you need some unique beauty and texture! Fantastic throughout Meditation gardens, in Zen gardens reflected in a pool of still water, throughout sunny Sensory Gardens, or for screening around your seating areas! Transforming them all into soothing environments for you to relax in!
Your garden beds and borders, even foundation borders gain tall, yet flowing punctuation that is soft and vibrant as the silvery blades glint in the sun. Create backdrops to any garden or privacy rows with these upright growing visual barriers, or create groupings for eye-catching curb appeal anywhere in the sun garden or the dappled shade. Tough enough for the Rock Garden as they are for the Rain Garden, Miscanthus are very versatile ornamental grasses!

#ProPlantTips For Care
This Grass is tolerant of a wide range of soils from well-drained sandy soils to heavy clays. Graziella is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Although it is a versatile ornamental grass, the clumps of this plant need lots of room. Prune off the dead grass in early spring before it resumes growing. Be patient with warm-season grasses since they take their time emerging in the spring until temperatures are just right.
