Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Best White Wine Grape for Cold Climates: The LaCrescent Grape

  • High Levels of Acid
  • Light-Skinned White Grape
  • A Renowned Wine-Making Grape

You will be the toast of your wine-and-dine club with your homemade LaCrescent Grape wine. This grape is regarded as one of the best grapes for wine drinkers and winemakers, especially those in the frigid midwest.

The LaCrescent Grape is highly-sought after for its versatility in white wine-making. And it's no wonder this grape makes such great wine--its parentage includes some of the best wine grapes grown in the U.S., including the French hybrids 'Seyval Blanc' and 'Muscat Hamburg.'

With high levels of acids, the LaCrescent Grapes can be used to make sweet or dry wines that are fruity and floral.

LaCrescent Grape wines will delight your tongue. With notes of apricot, peach, pineapple, and muscat--perfect for dessert wines.

Often referred to "Minnesota's Wine Grape," this amazing variety came out of the University of Minnesota's breeding program, which focuses on creating superb cultivars for harsh winters.

What should you do with your remaining grapes after all your bottles are corked? These pale green grapes make a great table grape. Your kids will love them almost as much as you love the wine they make.

Plant your LaCrescent Grape Vines all along your back fence as a way of greening up the backdrop of your yard. The LaCrescent Grape loves bright and direct sun whenever possible, so if you have a south-facing wall, set up your trellis and watch this great grape grow.

Of course, you can always use this grape on your arbor, arch, or pergola.

Prune the LaCrescent Grape in late winter for best fruit production and net your grapes if deer have access to your yard.

Calling all wine-lovers the LaCrescent Grape is available now, but will not be for long. Order yours now and enjoy the art of winemaking.
