Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 6-8
Golden Beauty Dutch Iris (Iris x hollandica 'Golden Beauty') are golden apricot yellow blooms through and through with highly saturated petals standing atop grassy green foliage! These sweetly fragrant perennial flowers glow in the landscape as well as in the floral bouquet!
With straight stems and erect green sword-like foliage, Picasso forms vertical clumps with a fleur-de-lis crowning each of the tops! Graceful and elegant, they look lovely in the landscape as long-lasting focal points with waving upright texture and motion! Pollinators and hummingbirds are drawn to these flowers throughout the late spring bloom time!
Dutch Iris hybrids grow fast from rhizomes that can be planted in fall or spring throughout USDA growing zones 6-8 as perennial flowering ornamental plants. Deer and juglone resistant, there's little these self-sufficient plants can’t handle.
Planting and Application:
Golden Beauty Dutch Iris can be used in planters and well-drained porch pots for a vibrant and scented focal point and vertical thriller! Not to mention catching the attention of the neighbors and every hummingbird and pollinator in the area! Their glowing color and upright textural elements look best in drifts, winding rows, or groupings for maximum effect.
Space-saving and easy-to-care-for, Iris are ideal along narrow pathway gardens yet still impart a huge impact on their surroundings! Use as mid-garden border accents and vertical texture throughout cottage gardens, cut flower borders and around the outskirts of Rain Gardens and water features where they will love the moisture availability.
- Saturated Golden Apricot Yellow Blooms
- Vertical Green Sword-Like Foliage
- Pollinator-Friendly & Radiant Cut Flowers
- Hardy Perennial Rhizomes
- Specimen, Rows, Massing, Groupings in Garden Beds & Borders
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Plant Dutch Iris in well-drained soil that won't get soggy, but remains consistently moist throughout the sun to part sun garden. Use a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch chips to help hold in moisture and protect the rhizomes. Deadhead after flowers fade but keep the leaves to make food for the bulbs. Every few years it is recommended to divide the rhizomes and clean out any older, non-productive roots to maintain vigor. Prune away the foliage after it yellows to the ground.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Fast Growing in Fertile Well-Drained Soil
- Appreciates Mulched Beds & Regular Moisture
- Deadhead & Prune In Late Fall
- Deer & Juglone Resistant
