Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

If you seek to spotlight a special garden feature, such as a gate, accent tree or container garden, try Sundrops Golden Alexander Loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata 'Alexander')! This gorgeous, naturalizing perennial groundcover adds a tremendous amount of interest and texture to your garden.
Variegated green and white leaves pop all season, but it's late Spring when this plant truly, literally shines. Bright yellow, star-shaped flowers glow in the garden. You'll love how the saturated blooms have a light of their own! The pollinators will take notice for sure and stop by for frequent visits.
Sundrops Loosestrife is a much improved (better behaved and far less aggressive) variety, developed by British garden experts. Please don't confuse it with the weedy Purple Loosestrife, which is a different plant altogether. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 8, growing 18-24 inches tall and just 9-12 inches wide, but forming carpets gradually by underground rhizomes.
Planting and Application:
Bright and cheerful specimens and accents, these smaller Perennial Loosestrife shine with their variegated leaves on their own, but then the blooms show up! Cottage gardens, perennial borders, and pollinator gardens are ideal locations in the sunny landscape. Let them naturalize throughout Rain Gardens, along water feature edges, and moist garden edges as facer plants.
Plant Golden Alexander in a loose, waving drift to pinpoint the way along a garden path. Perfect for garden filler because these perennials help cover the ground to reduce weeds, as Sundrops will form colonies by spreading underground - not from seed. Hummingbirds love this wonderful selection. Buy it in multiples to mass along the edge of your pond or garden bed.
- Bright Yellow Blooms & Green/White Variegated Foliage
- Easy Care Fabulous Color
- Pollinator Friendly Blooms & Hummingbirds
- Non-Invasive Alternative for Purple Loosestrife
- Great For Water Gardens, Cottage Garden & Groundcover
#ProPlantTips for Care:
You can plant Sundrops in wet to moist, well-drained soil in full sun but trust us - you'll need to wear sunglasses when it's in bloom! Perhaps a more pleasing way to use this plant is to plant it in partial sun, where it will receive afternoon shade. Prune back these perennial mounds in late winter and top-dress with mulch to keep their roots moist and insulated throughout the winter.
- Full Sun in Moist Sites & Partial Shade in Average Soil
- Well-Drained Garden Locations
- Moist to Average Conditions
- Prune Late Winter
- Appreciates Mulched Beds in Drier Locations
