To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Bright lights for your landscape! The Glow Sticks Fescue (Festuca arundinacea 'Glow Sticks') is a brilliant flowering Fescue grass that is sure to add some fireworks to your garden beds and borders and deep green upright interest for the rest of the growing season and beyond!
Glow Sticks only grow to about 2 feet in mature height and form foot-wide clumps of upright, spiky textured deep green leaves that may remain evergreen in warmer climates, but are usually a hardy perennial ornamental grasses in colder climates. The real show starts in May-June and lasts all summer as bright golden yellow plumes rise above the contrasting dark green of the clumps! Fall mellows these plumes out to a tan hue, but the dark green tufts remain for fall and winter interest.
Fescue grasses are super easy to grow and care for! They are cold, heat and humidity tolerant in USDA hardiness zones 3-8 and perfect for firewise and low-water usage landscaping. Cold-hardy to extreme winter temperatures, Fescue grass shows up with abandon year after year!
Planting and Application:
Highlight your beds and borders with easy-care, fuss-free ornamental grass. Line paths with their upright growth that won't get in the way of foot traffic, or along your driveway for a colorful welcome home! Fescue grass is very low-maintenance and highly adaptable! Disease resistant and drought tolerant once established, these are also great for firewise landscaping and low-water usage areas of the country! Provide a full sun to partial shade location that's moderately moist and well-drained for best results and color. Prune back in early spring to clean the mound if needed. Fescue is a cool-season ornamental grass.
