#ProPlantTips for Care:
Globemaster Allium are wonderful members of the Onion family but don't worry, they don't smell like Onions unless you crush their foliage. But please don't try to eat them! However, like Onions, they do return year after year. For best performance, provide the Globemaster with full sun for the strongest stems, best color, and vigorous growth. Also, provide Globemaster Allium with quick-draining soil that doesn't create puddles after rain. Sitting in water will rot these bulbs. Sandy soils or gravel, rocky soil are no problem as Allium are not particular about soil type, it just must be well-drained soil.
Cold hardy in zones 5 through 9, these spring flowering perennial bulbs can remain in the soil year-round. Let the foliage stay intact as long as it remains green, this way it continues making food for next year's flower! Once the green foliage turns yellow and brown it can be removed and cleaned up for the summer.
