Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Giant Orange Sunrise Tulip is remarkably cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 7, but are great annual accents throughout warmer climates, or as indoor winter decorations! Tulips are fast-growing and love the sun, remaining very low-maintenance perennial bulbs.

You and all your neighbors will love them either way! Orange Sunrise multiplies politely, so can be an excellent selection for naturalizing throughout your Rock gardens, Cottage borders, mixed bulb gardens, and Perennial beds! They are must-haves for early emerging pollinator gardens and your Cut Flower border!

Sunny pots and planters gain lovely focal points when a few Orange Sunrise Tulip bulbs are added among other spring flowering plants or in groupings as the feature planting! Porches and patios light up, and deck seating areas gain scented jewels! Plant in large groupings in shallow dishes, terra cotta pots, and mixed or specimen planters!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Tulip Bulbs require full sun and well-drained soil. Appreciating afternoon shade in warmer hardiness zones where the sun is intense. Any soil type is suitable so long as it is not soggy. Plant in the ground with pointed ends up 3 times as deep as the bulbs are tall. Fall-planted bulbs need well-drained soil with moderate moisture needs. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Deadhead after flowers fade, but let the leaves remain so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers! Not only are they strong, but Tulips also have incredible endurance. The blooms endure through spring showers, occasional sleet, and unexpected days of hot sunshine.

  • Full Sun For The Best Growth
  • Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune Mounds After Leaves Yellow
  • Deer & Rodents Seldom Bother Tulips
