Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Gorgeous minty streaks and stripes, the Gervase Amaryllis (Amaryllis 'Gervase') are enormous open trumpet-shaped blooms that are striped rosy-red slender petals with pink and white stripes randomly streaking through each broad petal! The randomized pattern is different from petal to petal for a display that will leave you guessing as each of the multiple buds open!

The bright green strappy leaves sprout fast from the large bulb followed by the sturdy stems that hold several buds that open into broad satellites of bi-color blossoms! The sword-like green leaves are perfect for showcasing these enormous flowers and they look gorgeous on their own even when not in bloom.

Gervase Amaryllis is a tropical flowering bulb that can be forced indoors for winter décor or planted outside in USDA growing zones 9 to 10. Cooler climates can plant these tropical bulbs outside but they will need to be lifted and stored indoors in a cool dark location for the winter like Dahlia and Canna Lily.

Planting and Application:

In warm growing zones, Amaryllis is a fantastic accent in the garden during the spring or summer and attracts pollinators when planted in the garden border. When in bloom, these are dramatic specimens in patio containers or create groupings of multiple Gervase as the main feature for eye-catching displays!

Add these exotic bloomers to your porch pots and or group multiple Amaryllis together for eye-catching displays throughout your home, porch or patio! Gervase Amaryllis are long-lasting blooms, and when the blooms are done, keep the strappy green foliage in a bright, sunny window to make food for the bulb or plant outside! Your holiday interiorscapes will light up with this gorgeous flowering décor.

  • Soft Rose Pink & White Striped Blooms
  • Long-Lasting & Multiple Buds Per Stem
  • Tall Clumps of Strappy Green Leaves
  • Tropical Perennial Bulbs
  • Force For Winter Décor, Gift Plant & Containers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Preferring full sun outdoors and bright indirect light indoors, Amaryllis bulbs should be planted in enriched, well-drained soil, pointed end up, with the neck and top third of the bulb above the soil, then water and mulch well. Disliking soggy locations, water sparingly to ensure the bulb has just enough moisture to grow. Amaryllis should be dead-headed as soon as the blooms fade, but the foliage looks handsome all growing season! Keep the handsome foliage intact and place them in a bright sunny window to make food for the bulb.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Moderately Moist Well-Drained Organic Soil
  • Deadhead After Bloom & Clean Mound When Leaves Yellow
  • Appreciates Mulched Beds Outdoors
  • Dislikes Soggy Soil

Striped trumpet-shaped blooms, the Gervase Amaryllis will put on a candy-striped display each winter! Order yours today at NatureHills.com ships your quality perennial bulbs based on your climate and growing zone!
