Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.
Standard Shipping Rates
At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Fantastic flowering Herbs, the very flavorful Garlic Chives (Allium tuberosum) is a perennial plant with edible foliage, scapes, and blooms that fill your garden and kitchen with lovely flavor and aroma! With an incredible garlic flavor through and through.
These perennials return bigger and better each year with their long, cylindrical greens, vertical bunching form, and white pompom blooms that bees and butterflies adore! The blooms look like their Allium cousins and look pretty in the garden border and in a bouquet!
Garlic Chives are hardy throughout USDA growing zones 8 and up, these are fast-growing annuals that quickly grow so you will enjoy a great harvest of all the Garlic Chives you need. But these easy-to-grow Herbs also do well in containers and can be brought in or grown as a houseplant on a sunny windowsill.
Planting and Application:
Garlic Chives have a wonderful mild garlicky flavor to their leaves, the Garlic Chive scapes, and the open blooms can be minced and added to soups and salads, in baked dishes and bread! Fresh or dried, you'll love the flavor of these onion relatives!
Use these upright fine-textured flowering Herbs that look great in Perennial gardens, Veggie and Kitchen gardens, in Herb gardens, and pollinator gardens. If you don't deadhead, Chives self-seed and fill an out-of-the-way area with blooms. Pot up as vertical lacy filler in containers and planters and mixed containers anywhere in the sun.
- Edible White Blooms & Scapes
- Edible Green Slender Foliage
- Garlicky Onion Flavor
- Annual Herb & Pollinator Accent

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Garlic Chive Herbs are easy-care and need full sun to do their best, and plant them in well-drained enriched soil with moderate moisture. Deadhead to stop self-seeding, or pluck them off for use in salads and as garnish. Before frost, container plants can be brought in for the winter in cold hardiness zones, or completely harvest your plants near the base of the plant. Otherwise, prune back plants in warm growing zones to clean them for next year.
