This deciduous tree boasts delightfully fragrant spring blooms and bright yellow fall color. Just take care while harvesting because these trees can have some decent thorns.

These deciduous trees grow throughout USDA planting zones 6 to 10 and are not self-fruitful, so you'll enjoy a far larger harvest with another pollinator Jujube planted nearby. The space-saving size of this Jujube means it's easier to include that second - or third - tree! Mid-summer brings greenish-white flowers that have a unique sweet scent, choose a Jujube that blooms at the same time as GA 866 for a pollinator and watch the bees take it from there!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

To keep this pollinator-pleaser growing its best, provide your GA 866 Jujube Tree with full sun, in well-drained soil. Water young trees regularly their first year, water container plants regularly and check their drainage holes often, and water in-ground trees regularly when fruiting but only when its soil appears dry otherwise. This fast-growing beauty will fill in fast and produce a heavy crop at a young age. Easy to grow in hot, dry areas, Jujube are drought-tolerant once established. These deciduous trees are insect and disease-free!

This tree can be grown with the foliage to the ground, or as a single or multi-stemmed tree. Keep Jujube 30 feet from water lines, as the roots will seek that water. Prune in the summer, but be careful because of the thorns. The Honey Jar Jujube can be held to any size with pruning. Unless being grown as a shade tree keep the plants under 10 feet for ease of harvest.
