Planting and Application:
Grow these "fuss-free" shrub Roses as a dynamic hedge; or keep them in large containers on your patio, deck, or balcony. Use them as spectacular "Thrillers" in outdoor planters. What could be easier to instantly enliven a small space garden? Keep them in large pots flanking either side of your front door to spark conversation.
No matter what your garden goals are, Funny Face™ is happy to lend a hand. Revive the look of mature evergreen trees and shrubs with several planted on the sunny side. Expand your foundation planting to include several Roses as accents and facer shrubs. You'll be pleased with the compliments engendered by your choice! Or, create a new mulched bed alongside your front walkway for a long, low gorgeous hedge.
Because Funny Face™ Rose produces a wide range of colors and flower forms from single to semi-double, it provides a very sophisticated, painted effect when viewed at a distance. Don't be afraid to use these in the front yard as specimens or keep them to yourself in the backyard! Perk up existing landscapes with one easy step. Or, rely on these energetic shrubs to become a darling garden feature.
Thorny plants like Roses make excellent barrier plants, too. Funny Face™ Rose stays small enough to be used under windows as a cute, camouflaged layer of home protection. Plant them two feet apart on center for a solid hedge. Measure four feet away from sidewalks when planting to avoid snagging the clothes of your guests as they pass them by.
Butterflies love their long season of nectar-rich blooms as much as you will! Add Funny Face™ Roses to your planned Butterfly Gardens to keep them coming back again and again. Cottage gardens gain varied fluttery blooms and Perennial borders gain a vivid backdrop even when these Shrubs aren't in blooms! It's nearly impossible to be gloomy with a flowering Funny Face™ in your landscape!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
The Easy Elegance® line of Roses are grown on their own roots and offer extremely high performance, even in tough conditions. For the most blooms, these Roses need plenty of sunshine, at least six or more hours a day. The best planting site is one that gets plenty of morning sun. Ensure the soil drains quickly after rainfall. Roses will not tolerate standing water, so elevate them in a raised planting bed to improve drainage. Proper air circulation is a great idea to keep your Roses happy and healthy. When in doubt, give them more room, and pull pots away from walls.
We highly recommend Nature Hills Root Booster when planting long-lived Roses. It never wears out, but rather develops a symbiotic relationship with the feeder roots to help them access micronutrients from the soil. Apply a moderate amount of water at the base of the plant regularly. Feed Funny Face™ a slow-release fertilizer in both early spring and mid-summer. Add a 3-4-inch layer of arborist mulch for year-round benefits!
In late fall, bag all leaf litter out from underneath the plant. Prune in early spring each year, cutting all of the stems down to eight inches. It is naturally resistant to both black spot and mildew. This Rose has been specially bred to be tough and reliable in extreme cold and high heat.
