At the peak of bloom, it looks like it is all flowers! The large blossoms have hundreds of florets, each one snow-white tinged in celery-green and with a lovely pinkish-violet 'eye' in the center. Cold weather brings on a pinkish sheen. Altogether, these are garden stunners - very noble indeed.

The stems are straight and strong and hold up the heavy flower heads without flopping or twisting. The flowers are long-lasting and very big, especially when the shrub itself stays smaller and neat. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 5-9, these smaller shrubs only reach a mature height of 3-4 feet tall and wide! Give Noblesse plenty of water, well-drained soil and some shade and it will reward you by growing quickly and easily. For the most blooms and strongest growth, plant in sun and partial shade in cooler growing zones. However, they favor morning sun and afternoon shade in the hottest of the USDA growing zones 5-9. Plant Hydrangeas in moderate, and consistent moisture and enriched organic soil. Bigleaf Hydrangeas should be pruned in the early spring to remove any growth that died back over the winter. Typically every stem has a flower which is the amazing thing about this plant! Deadhead after flowering to encourage branching and not accidentally prune off next year's flowers.
