Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Part of the Southern Living® Plant Collection, the single white blooms of Diamond Spire™ feature that incredible Gardenia fragrance you love so much! You'll get a lot of value from this cultivar, as it first flowers in late spring, then begins intermittent flowering cycles until fall.
Growing throughout a wide range of USDA growing zones, Diamond Spire™ handles a touch of cold winter in zone 7 with protection from drying northern winds, and shrugs off heat and humidity up to steamy zone 10! Just 3-4 feet tall at maturity, these evergreen shrubs spread to about 2 feet wide but can be trimmed smaller to suit your landscaping needs!
Landscape Application:
Standing out as fantastic columnar specimens all on their own, stand one by your front entry or as a corner-softening accent in your foundation hedge. Pair them with Crape Myrtles, Viburnum, Hydrangea, and Camellias in a mixed shrub border. Make selections that play off each other's bloom color, texture, shape, and bloom time for a hard-working landscape feature.
You'll love having the glossy foliage grace your landscapes all year as backdrops and narrow hedges for privacy and screening! No neighbor will mind a fragrant friendly, living fence dividing your properties when you use rows of Diamond Spire™ Gardenia!
The fragrant blooms set the mood around seating areas and perfume your meditation nooks, or start your day on the right foot with a scented backdrop of Gardenia around your coffee nook! You'll have months of natural plant perfume nearby for living aromatherapy. Even out of bloom, the wildly unique, evergreen foliage brings a smile to your face in wintertime.
Plus the gleaming white blossoms are a must-have for Moon gardens! Butterflies love the single blooms as much as you do! Don't miss out on their rich nectar resources in Butterfly and Pollinator Gardens. Harvest the blooms and distill them into heady homemade essential oil for candles, soaps, and lotions! Gardenia oil is reputed to ward off colds and respiratory infections.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Grow Gardenias in full sun or partial shade where it has at least four hours of direct sunlight a day. Well-drained soils are necessary, so if you suspect poor drainage - mound up or keep your shrub in containers if you have heavy, soggy soil. Establish the root system the first year with careful attention to watering; then, put your Gardenias on a regular schedule of watering for best flowering. Apply mulch over the root system, and pull it away from touching the stems. Prune to shape as needed after the first flush of flowers is finished. Remove crossing branches and any branches that may be damaged.
- Full Sun & Afternoon Shade
- Loves Mulched Organically Rich Acidic Soil
- Well-Drained Moist Sites
- Prune After Flowering
- Deadhead After Flowers Fade
