Each heavily ruffled flower has a slight gold edge and light midrib and orange blush that becomes more prominent as the day progresses. Use these blooms for your pollinators seeking nectar, or to add luminous color to bouquets!
Rising above clumps of grassy green, slender foliage, the stems are full of buds that each taking turns opening to reveal a fresh new flower each day! The well-branched scapes on this Daylily are loaded with over 30 buds each for many weeks of enjoyment!
Considered a "Designer" Daylily because it has been selected as a highly performing plant with exceptional bloom performance, substantive, vibrantly colored flowers, complete winter hardiness in northern zones, and a vigorous habit. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 9, South Seas handles heat and chill without any problems! That also goes for pollution, clay, Salt spray, Deer, and poor soil conditions too!
Planting and Application:
These showy blooms are fantastic specimens and garden accents! Grouping and creating rows (both straight and winding) will grace any perennial bed or hardscape with the arching foliage!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Blooming the very best in full sun, and appreciating a touch of afternoon/partial shade in hotter climates, easy-to-grow Daylilies thrive in almost any soil that is well-drained and enriched, but once established can handle occasional drought to wet soil conditions. Provide regular moisture when young and during the worst of drought for the prettiest foliage. Top dress with 3-4 inches of arborist mulch chips.
Deadhead to encourage rebloom, then trim the entire scape to the crown of the plant once all the buds are spent to clean up the mound. In late autumn after frost, remove all foliage to the ground and dispose of it away from the site to prevent rusts and diseases from overwintering. Divide in the early spring, about every 3-5 years to maintain vigor and flowering size.
- Tolerant of Full Sun & Afternoon Shade
- Adaptable in Any Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate Moisture - Low Once Established
- Prune Late Fall, Deadhead Regularly & Divide Every 3-5 Years
- Seldom Bothered By Deer, Rabbits, Rust & Disease, Salt & Pests
