Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Few flowers are more universally recognizable than Daffodils! With its perianth and signature cup, Daffodils are an incredible addition to any garden! The Chromacolor Daffodil (Narcissus 'Chromacolor') is no different, except in color of course!

Chromacolor Daffodil has an impressively large salmon-colored cup extending out from a bed of pristine white petals. Gardeners love this type of Daffodil for its ability to make lovely mass displays or simple accents in smaller clumps. Either way, they will make for perfect cutting flowers as there is only one flower per stem!

You don't have to worry about wildlife munching on your Daffodils because this specimen is quite deer resistant. Go ahead and plant just about anywhere in your garden secure in the fact that it won't get eaten. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 8, these clumps gradually spread as their 18-inch tall clumps politely naturalize.

Planting and Application:

Add these fragrant blooms to your garden beds and borders, either in groupings or rows to maximize their lovely and refreshing spring color. You'll create nectar-rich habitat for early emerging pollinators and still have plenty of stems for bouquets. Long after the flowers fade, you'll enjoy the greenery as it adds fine-textured elegance to the garden beds and borders.

The pollinator border, cut flower garden, and cottage garden all welcome these peaches and cream blossoms with open arms! Pot Chromacolor up in planters or containers on a sunny porch or patio as specimen plantings or among other spring blooms. Try forcing these bulbs indoors for winter color and fragrance for your interiorscapes. Plant in a shallow dish or urn in a bright indirectly sunny window.

  • Lovely Creamy White Saucers & Ruffled Apricot Cups
  • Mid-Season Bloomer With A Single Flower Per Stem
  • Superb for Indoor Forcing & Cut Flowers
  • Long Slender Green Stems & Foliage
  • Great for Mass Plating or Small Clumps, Containers & Indoor Forcing

#ProPlantTips for Care:

These spring-flowering, fall-planted perennial bulbs do best in full sun. Provide Daffodil bulbs with moderate moisture and well-drained soil for best results. Planting depth should be 3 times the height of the bulb and at least 3 inches apart with the pointed end facing upward. They must have well-drained soil and lots of sunshine all growing season. In colder zones, plant deeper and mulch well so they can survive the winter. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results.

  • Full Sun & Some Part Shade
  • Moderate Moisture & Well-Drained Soil
  • Deadhead After Bloom & Clean Mounds After Foliage Yellows
  • Very Cold Hardy
  • Squirrel & Deer Resistant
