To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.
Ever wonder what a larger plant will mean for your landscape? Container Sizes are really all about the age of the plant!
Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Large, lovely and lavender, there is nothing like walking outside after a long winter and seeing the beautiful lavender of the Vanguard Crocus (Crocus vernus 'Vanguard') heralding in the new season!
This early bloomer is a wonderful addition to any garden and highly beneficial to early emerging pollinators looking for a nectar and pollen resource first thing in the growing season! The spikey green leaves form tidy little clumps that gradually spread into little colonies throughout the garden.
The Vanguard Crocus has a total of 6 petals. They range in color from light lavender outer petals accented by darker purple inner petals. Together, they create a delightful dash of color to a garden that is otherwise just waking up! Sometimes even poking up through the melting snow.
Planting and Application:
Wonderful for forcing Crocus bulbs indoors over the winter in containers or in outdoor planters in the spring, Vanguard shines and perfumes your spaces beautifully! Plant in a sunny site near a bright window, outdoors near a rock wall or foundation for earlier blooms, or in a shadier location for later emerging bulbs.
Ideal for encouraging throughout the garden beds and borders, and among larger perennials or shrubs without worrying the bulbs will interfere with larger roots or vice versa! #ProPlantTips for Care:
Technically known as corms, Crocus bulbs should be planted in early fall before the ground freezes, depending on your growing zone and climate. Crocus bulbs require at least six to eight weeks of what's known as 'chill hours' before they will sprout so ensure your winters will be cold enough, or you have stored them in cool storage before trying to force them indoors.
