This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Bare Root Plants
Bare root plants are sold by height from the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may exceed minimum height requirements.

- Shrubs & Perennials: 1 foot, 18 inches, 2 feet

The classic Darwin Hybrid, the dreamy lipstick pink Cosmopolitan Tulip (Tulipa 'Cosmopolitan') features large cuppy blooms of a gorgeous rosy coral pink! These large spring blossoms sit on top of strong and sturdy stems that simply beg to be cut and brought indoors for maximum enjoyment!
Cosmopolitan has wonderful silky petals in the original Tulip cup shape that will have you falling head over heels in love! With an ever-so-slightly lighter edge, the petals almost look two-tone! So will every bee and butterfly fortunate to have emerged early enough to enjoy these scented mid-spring wonders!
Cosmopolitan Tulip is a cold-hardy spring ephemeral throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 7 and grows to a graceful clump 18-20 inches tall and nearly as wide. Fast-growing and loving the full sun, these lovely Darwin Hybrids shine each spring!
Planting and Application:
Cosmopolitan Tulips are space-saving perennial bulbs that grow about anywhere in the sun or bright indoor light, and are easy care gifts! Indoors, you can force these easy-to-grow bulbs in a shallow dish or container for winter décor! Force in the late winter or in spring cloche and pots in a bright filtered sun window for a break from a bleak winter! Outdoors, these bulbs work great in planters on your porch or patio!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Tulip Bulbs require full sun and well-drained soil. Appreciating afternoon shade in warmer hardiness zones where the sun is intense. Any soil type is suitable so long as it is not soggy. Plant in the ground with pointed ends up 3 times as deep as the bulbs are tall. Fall-planted bulbs need well-drained soil with moderate moisture needs. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Deadhead after flowers fade, but let the leaves remain so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers! Not only are they strong, but Tulips also have incredible endurance. The blooms endure through spring showers, occasional sleet, and unexpected days of hot sunshine.
