Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 5-9
A luminous and upscale addition to your garden! Have you hopped on board with the current trend of mixing gorgeous grasses into your perennial or evergreen beds and foundation plantings?
So, if you want to join the movement, or if you are already a fan and want to take it to the next level, we highly recommend Cosmopolitan Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis var. condensatus 'Cosmopolitan'). This award-winning plant makes a tall and spectacular profile, especially when planted with large-leaved perennials. The contrast is striking! Fall also brings large coppery-pink flowers that dry to a botanical tan for winter interest and floral design.
Cosmopolitan Maiden Grass has a fountain-like habit that really stands out. The arching green leave is strappy and have creamy margins flanking soft-greenish midribs. In the fall, the entire plant turns an autumnal golden-yellow and then a lovely straw beige during the winter. They change to silvery-white as they age and provide excellent winter presence in the garden.
This stellar accent was brought to the fashion forefront by such garden designer luminaries as Piet Oudolf, Wolfgang Oehme, and James van Sweden. This Miscanthus keeps its tallgrass prairie roots and is highly adaptable and versatile throughout USDA hardiness zones 5 to 9 and is so easy, even a beginner can grow it!
Planting and Application:

#ProPlantTips For Care
Ornamental Grass grows upright in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. This Maiden Grass also tolerates partial shade but may be more arching and fountain-like. It is very hardy and low growing, it tolerates a wide range of soil types, is moderately drought tolerant once established, and holds up to wind and snow! Prune the clumps in early spring and clean out their crowns of debris for a fresh start each year. But be patient with warm-season grasses since they take their time emerging in the spring until temperatures are just right.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Grows Anywhere, Even in Wet Soil
- Plant in Well-Drained Soil
- Adaptable To a Wide-Range of Conditions
- Prune Early Spring
- Low-Maintenance
