Do not Knoe I have "Moon Beam"

I have " Moon Beam" which i love It is lovely and i think I will move it to the edge of my Large raised bed as it does flop I cut it back to get it to bloom again.

Dear Mary K,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review of your *Full Moon Coreopsis*! We're delighted to hear that you love your 'Moon Beam' and appreciate the lovely addition it makes to your garden. Moving it to the edge of your large raised bed sounds like a great plan, especially since you mentioned it tends to flop. Sometimes positioning the plant where it gets a bit of natural support or doesn’t have so much competition can help strengthen its stems.

Your practice of cutting it back to encourage reblooming is spot-on—deadheading is definitely the way to keep that cheerful bloom going strong. If you’d like the plant to be sturdier, consider gentle staking or mixing it with other plants that offer bit of structure support, such as ornamental grasses. Also, ensuring it's planted in full sun and has well-drained soil will keep it happy and healthy.

If you ever want tips on companion plants or additional coreopsis care, please don’t hesitate to reach out or visit our plant care resources on NatureHills.com.

Dear Mary,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with your 'Moon Beam' Full Moon Coreopsis! We’re delighted to hear how much you love the plant—its cheerful blooms truly bring a special charm to any garden. Moving it to the edge of your raised bed sounds like a great idea, especially since coreopsis can occasionally flop as they grow taller. To help give it extra support, you might also consider using some gentle staking or surrounding it with lower-growing companion plants to keep those stems upright.

Cutting it back to encourage reblooming is a smart way to keep your garden vibrant throughout the season! For even more success, try pruning once the initial blooms fade, ensuring you leave some healthy foliage. They thrive with plenty of sunlight and moderate watering, too.

If you’d like, we have some detailed care guides on our website that cover Coreopsis basics and tips, which could be helpful as you continue with your gardening journey.

Wishing you happy planting,

Thrives in clay soil

I planted mine in a sunny border of my back garden in our hard clay soil. They are thriving & stay upbright. I love them!

Hello Claire,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with the Full Moon Coreopsis! We're delighted to hear that your plants are thriving in your sunny border despite the challenging clay soil—that resilient upright growth certainly speaks to the hardiness of this species. Clay soil can be tricky, but your success shows that with the right conditions and care, Coreopsis can truly flourish.

If you ever want to encourage even more blooms, consider mixing in some organic matter or compost to the soil to improve drainage further, which benefits these sun-loving perennials. Also, regular deadheading can help prolong flowering throughout the season.

We're so glad your garden is bringing you joy, and we’re always here if you have any questions or need tips for your next planting adventure.
