Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

- Age Indicators: Container size primarily indicates plant age and maturity rather than liquid volume equivalents
Growing Conditions
- Plant size can vary based on variety and growing conditions
- Container size helps indicate plant maturity and establishment level
- Larger containers generally mean more established root systems and faster landscape establishment

Growing Zones 6 - 9
Gorgeous rosy jeweled fruit, the Coral Champagne Sweet Cherry Tree (Prunus avium 'UC 13-22') is a delightful early to mid-season fruit tree that will extend your enjoyment of backyard harvests and edible landscaping to new heights! See how easy it is to successfully grow your own fruit!
The drifts of spring pink buds open into fragrant white blossoms for a spectacular show at the start of the growing season. Bees and butterflies will be busily at work spreading pollen and you'll love the sweet scent of the flowers. Coral Champagne fills out in lush long green leaves all summer and fall, providing a nice backdrop for the dangling jewels or coral pink blushed fruit!
Coral Champagne is a low-acid, sweet fruit that typically ripens in June. The firm flesh can be eaten fresh and used for all your favorite Cherry fruit baking, preserving, and sauces!
These Sweet Cherry Trees do best in USDA plant hardiness zones 6 to 9 and can grow to a slim 12-15 feet in width, but reach up to 25 feet in height. They can always be trimmed shorter or kept as low-branched fruiting shrubs as easily as they can be left as single-trunked full-sized trees!
Planting and Application:
A gorgeous tree in its own right, Coral Champagne works as a front and center ornamental flowering tree in your front yard berm! The pretty blooms, lush foliage, and upright form looks great in any sunny setting, and those rosy glossy fruit are a lovely bonus!
Shade backyard patios or gardens with these narrow-growing fruit trees, or just use their slim profile to your advantage! Since Coral Champagne needs a pollinator, it will easily tuck into your existing Cherry tree orchard, or readily be planted closer to its pollination partner. Try high-density planting or prune your tree smaller to suit your needs and the demands of your landscape.
Keep your tree as a low shrub form, with its branches low to the ground. This way you can include it in your hedgerow or linear orchard plantings that double as screening and property division! The birds will love you and harvesting the delectable fruit will be easier! Covering your tree with Bird Netting will be easier too if you aren't willing to share with your feathered friends!

#ProPlantTips for Care
Plant your Cherry Tree in full sun for the most flowers and fruit, in a well-drained enriched environment with ample moisture access. All plants appreciate some of Nature Hills Root Booster used during planting and top-dressed with 3-4 inches of arborist mulch chips. Fruit trees also need regular moisture access and scheduled fertilizer routines as well.
Coral Champagne Sweet Cherry trees are not self-pollinating and will need a pollination partner planted nearby. Bing Cherry and Brooks Sweet work well as pollinators, which the Coral Champagne pollinates in return! Other good pollinators for the Coral Champagne include the Black Tartarian, Rainier, Van Cherry, and Early Burlat.
When dormant in the late winter or early spring is the best time to prune your Cherry Tree, after fruiting works well for light pruning and shaping, but late winter is best for thinning. Ask the County Extension Office in your area for the best pruning times to prevent disease spread. Considered low-chill, the Coral Champagne works great for hot and humid climates, growing wonderfully in California!
- Full Sun
- Regular Moisture Access & Mulched Beds

- Prune Summer/Dormancy
