Summer brings creamy blooms on tall stems and dangle high above on airy wiry stems. Pollinators adore these blooms and you will too for your bouquets with these delicate blossoms as filler. The finery is an added bonus to the frilly silvery foliage.

Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, these heat, humidity, and cold-resistant perennials and thrive in full sun to full shade! Growing just 8-10 inches in height and 12-14 inches in width, the smokey foliage can be evergreen to semi-evergreen in warmer climates!

Planting and Application:

Pinot Gris looks especially good as filler and spillers in containers and throughout the dappled shade woodland edges! Excellent in partly shaded borders, under trees, and even mixed into ornamental containers on shady patios! Create a butterfly habitat or hummingbird garden because these blossoms are nectar-rich bell-shaped blooms!

Rock Gardens, Perennial Borders, and Cottage garden beds! The low-growing ruffled foliage is effective as groundcovers, and as an edger along paths or walkways, but tough enough for driveways and along the sidewalk in front of your house. Coral Bells provide three to four seasons to your shady gardens or on your shady porch or patio!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Coral Bells are content in partial sun, tolerating full sun in the cooler USDA growing zones of 4 through 9, and afternoon shade in the hottest of those climates. Otherwise, you chance leaf burn. Warmer climates will find Heuchera do best in the afternoon, or part shade or full shade. Plant these Perennials in almost any kind of soil, it's best in moderately moist, organically rich, and humusy sites with especially well-drained soil. A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture as well as insulate the root system from heat and chill. An easy-care perennial, Coral Bells should be cut back in the early spring. Divide every 3-5 years to maintain vigor. Tolerating heat and humidity, it is low-maintenance and performs well even in the South where it can display evergreen tendencies.

  • Full Sun, Part Sun or Full Shade
  • Easy to Grow in Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs & Appreciates Mulched Beds
  • Deer & Rabbit Resistant, Heat & Humidity Tolerant
  • Prune In Early Spring
  • Semi-Evergreen in Warm Winters

Like wine and cheese for your garden, the Pinot Gris Coral Bells has a gorgeous palette of colors waiting for you! But only if you order yours today at Nature Hills!
