Dramatic changing and enchanting color, the Marmalade Coral Bells (Heuchera 'Marmalade'), features ruffled, maple-leafed foliage in varying shades of amber to bronze with gorgeous rosy reds, chartreuse, and gold tones appearing throughout the year! The prominent veins and toothy edges are highlighted by their reddish stems and full, fluffy, mounded form!

Taller shoots of rosy-reddish-brown stems and buds appear in late spring and open into nearly pinkish little blossoms that pollinators and Hummingbirds adore! You’ll love snipping a few for your indoor bouquets as well. However, Coral Bells are known for their leaves and oh boy does this one show off!

As it matures to a golden color, the foliage features contrasting hot pink undersides! The colors intensify by fall and if you have mild winters or are in the southern climate, these cold-hardy heat-resistant perennials can remain semi-evergreen to fully evergreen and show off all year long! Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 9, there is little that fazes these plants.

Planting and Application:

Use this Coral Bell as a living mulch or groundcover, and let it ramble throughout your landscape as a border plant or as an edging along paths and walkways. Hardy enough for tricky locations like along the front sidewalk or a driveway, or around a mailbox and spilling down hillsides and slopes. Marmalade is quite happy in the sun in cooler climates, in the dappled shade of larger trees and shrubs as colorful skirting, or highlighting the feet of your foundation plantings and evergreen hedges!

Marmalade is space-saving and looks fantastic when paired with Ornamental Grasses, Hosta, Daylily, Barrenworts, and Ferns! Coral Bells add finery to a Rock Garden or Rose Garden, add color to the mixed Perennial border, and bring cut flowers and pollinators to your Cottage gardens! And of course, other Coral Bells! There's such a wide variety of colors to choose from that you'll have trouble choosing just one! No matter your experience level, all gardeners have success with these low-maintenance plants!

  • Frilly Maple-Leaf Like Foliage In Amber to Brown
  • Foliage With Red, Gold & Chartreuse Highlights & Pink Undersides
  • Rosy Reddish-Brown Stems, Flower Buds & Pinkish Blossoms
  • Attract Hummingbirds & Butterflies
  • Mounding Full Clump-Forming Perennial
  • Bold Edging & Facer Plants, Specimen & En Masse Plantings, Shade/Sun Gardens

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Coral Bells grow best in enriched well-drained soils in part shade. Plant these Perennials do well in more sun in the northern part of its range and afternoon shade in the south, or even in full shade in the hottest climates. Keep them looking their best, by ensuring you water during hot, dry weather, giving the plant about one inch of water per week. A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture as well as insulate the root system from heat and chill.

An easy-care perennial, Coral Bells should be cut back in the early spring. Divide every 3-5 years to maintain vigor. Tolerating heat and humidity, it is low-maintenance and performs well even in the South where it can display evergreen tendencies. Cold and drought tolerant and withstanding heat and humidity, nothing seems to faze this plant. Deer resistant.

  • Part Sun& Partial Shade - Appreciates Afternoon Shade
  • Easy to Grow in Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs & Appreciates Mulched Beds
