Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Sumptuous color, the delightful Cone-fection™ Raspberry Truffle Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Raspberry Truffle') is a prolific perennial with outstanding bloom with fluffy double-petalled centers!

Have you ever eaten a raspberry truffle? Remember that feeling of your teeth breaking through the outer shell and the creamy blend of fruit flavor and satiny chocolate on your tongue? It's a moment of pure sensual bliss for many people...and your first sight of your Raspberry Truffle Coneflower in bloom will have the same effect!

The center of the Coneflower starts with a deep brown appearance, like a truffle nestled amid the raspberry floral confection, thus inspiring its name. Few things can compare with watching the blooms begin as pink Daisies only to slowly transform into 5-inch double, button-top flowers in glorious shades of pink, red, and warm brown!

The one-of-a-kind pink/red blend of the outer ray petals perfectly frames the deeper hues of the fluffy center. It's certainly a delectable display of nature's majesty! Growing 3 feet wide and nearly as tall, these chocolatey stemmed confections are heat and cold hardy throughout USDA planting zones 5 to 9!

Planting and Application:

Your Raspberry Truffle Coneflower is compact, with chocolate-colored stems that are sturdy enough to firmly elevate your floral treat above the garden plantings. Adding cheer to mixed Perennial border, or throughout your Cottage garden and landscaping beds for a showy splash of color!

Lasting through late summer, Coneflowers are a boon for pollinators and Hummingbirds alike, providing nectar and pollen to your Pollinator gardens, updated Prairie plantings, and meadows.

Even planters and urns gain showy specimens and thrillers, adding their frills to your sunny patios, porches, and balcony gardens! You'll enjoy these unique blooms in the vase arrangement too, so plant several along the Cut Flower garden.

The hardiness that Coneflowers carry makes them ideal for xeric sites, Rock Gardens, and hell strips along roads, sidewalks, and driveway sites! They are also sought-after for your Fire-wise landscaping plans!

  • Outstanding Peachy Raspberry Blooms
  • Double Petalled Centers & Chocolate Stems
  • Strong Mounds & Branching
  • Long-Lasting Blooms For Containers & Vase Arrangements
  • Showy Specimens, Mixed Plantings, Hardy & Easy to Grow

#ProPlantTips for Care:

The Raspberry Truffle is a low-maintenance herbaceous perennial that thrives in full sun, and Echinacea are hardy, tolerant, and drought-tolerant once established. Plant with Nature Hills Root Booster and regular fertility to keep the blooms returning until frost! Echinacea does great in most soil types as long as they are well-drained.

Provide moderate, yet consistent moisture for new plants, then afterward, they only need supplemental moisture during prolonged heat and drought or risk seeing reduced flowering and vigor. All plants can be kept stress-free with a 3-4-inch layer of arborist mulch.

Deadheading will encourage continued blooms and improve the general appearance of your plant. If you leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall their seeds provide winter food for birds. Divide perennial clumps about every 3 to 4 years.

It's a hardy little plant overall, being tolerant of heat, humidity, and drought! Raspberry Truffle Coneflower is also pest resistant, including deer who seem to take no interest in it at all, it can handle the cold and is easy to care for!

  • Full Sun Perennial
  • Moderate Fertility & Moisture Access
  • Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Prune Early Spring, Deadhead For More Blooms
  • Deer Resistant & Drought Tolerant
