Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Green Envy blooms from July to September and is a major attractor to butterflies and bees! The blooms keep popping when you snip some for bouquets, and remove faded flowers, encouraging reblooming until frost!

Echinacea is known for its large flower heads that turn to seed in the fall. It is a great choice for winter interest and it adds spikey seedheads that songbirds like Goldfinch, love to pluck food from in the fall! Hardy throughout a wide range of USDA growing zones 3 to 9, Green Envy is highly adaptable and even the deer and rabbits tend to leave them alone!

Planting and Application:

Pot up in large mixed containers or add to sun garden beds and borders, Pollinator gardens, and unique Cottage gardens! A must-have for the cut flower garden, you will create whimsical bouquets with ease!

If you leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall their seeds provide winter food for songbirds! So include Coneflower in wildlife gardens and modern prairie plantings. You can enjoy the dried seed heads as well because they will provide architectural fall and winter texture too!

That means Rock Gardens, that hell strip along the road or sidewalk, along driveways, and en masse in hot, sun-drenched drifts throughout the landscape! They are even great for including in your Fire-Wise landscaping design.

Not only is it a prized perennial for many gardeners, but it is also said to be a potent medicine. Echinacea is said to increase immune function, reduce the effects of colds and flu, fight off viral, bacterial, and fungal infections purify the blood, and flush waste from the lymphatic system.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

For best results, plant Coneflowers in full sun and in a well-drained area. Coneflowers become very drought tolerant once established, even tolerating clay soils, just as long as they drain. Use Nature Hills Root Booster when planting to give your plants the micronutrients and beneficial soil amendments they need.

During the first season, please pay close attention to watering. But you'll get more blooms over the growing season with a regular schedule of supplemental water, especially in containers. Once these herbaceous Perennials are well-established, Coneflowers become waterwise. Provide a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch to help protect plants in the harshest locations.

Deadhead the blooms after they fade for rebloom, but leave the last blooms of the season standing for birds and interest. In late autumn, prune back within an inch of the ground. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded about every 3-5 years.

  • Easy To Grow in Full Sun
  • Most Well-Drained Soil & Clay Soil Tolerant
