Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Concord Crush Siberian Iris (Iris sibirica 'Concord Crush') is a type of beard-less Iris, lacking the fuzzy ‘beards’ of their cousins, however, these are just as elegant! Concord Crush does have incredible double layered blue and royal purple petals with pale-gold highlights, an extended bloom time and have improved pest and disease resistance!

Siberian Iris form long, slender and elegant green blades of leaves that remain lovely all growing season! The foliage waves in the wind and lends vertical texture to the landscape. Concord Crush features a double layer of ‘flags’ and they’re ruffled and curled instead of upright, while the ‘falls’ have a golden accent.

Concord Crush forms 2 foot wide and tall clumps that readily tuck into any existing garden layout or container with ease! Bees and butterflies will be frequent visitors all summer and you’ll have enough blooms to include some in your floral bouquets indoors too!

Planting and Application:

Concord Crush will look lovely around pond edges and meditation gardens, where the large blooms, dramatic color and waving motion soothe the senses. Try installing a Rain Garden in that soggy patch of the yard, or create a garden around where the gutters drain! Add to perennial and cottage borders, or as edging along a path or walkway!

Siberian Iris are very easy-care and low-maintenance, so don’t be afraid to plant these vibrant blooms and ornamental grassy-blades en masse and in large banks for erosion control, to fill large areas, or just wind through a moist garden bed. Pot them up in a planter or container for vertical thrillers and accents!

  • Double Ruffled Blue/Purple Blooms
  • Slender Vertical Green Blades
  • Loves Moist Soil
  • Ornamental Grass Substitute
  • Cut Flowers, En Masse & Containers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Siberian Iris rhizomes do best in full sun in cooler zones but appreciate a touch of afternoon shade in hotter climates. They prefer being planted in very well-drained soils. Once planted, water and mulch thoroughly.

  • Full Sun & Part Shade
  • Prune Dead Leaves After Frost
  • Deer, Pest & Disease Resistant
  • Cold & Heat Hardy Zones 3 - 9

Concord Crush Siberian Iris will crown your garden beds and borders in lovely blooms! So order yours today from Nature Hills! Bareroot Iris prefers to be planted in the fall, so order your bareroot rhizomes from NatureHills.com and we’ll ship them at the appropriate time of the year for your climate!
